In case you thought this league couldn't get any worse.
Get this:
Latest news has the MWSL deciding to allow cup games to count as both cup games (obviously) and league games. That is, because of the many postponements, if a team coincedentally plays a cup game against a team they would otherwise have a make-up game for, the cup game will count and points will be awarded towards the league standings as well.
In our two make-up and one cup game(s) yesterday (game #1 starting at 9:59am, game #2 at 10am and game 3# starting at 10:01am) Metro Ford got their revenge - "Tryflame should be happy today"
Oh well, due to their strength in the middle of the pitch (Averil?) they dominated the game. SC was busy clearing the 18 yard box (I had to make thatclear) , instead of heading towards their end of the pitch.
Apart from the sheet of ice at the south end of the park and the full baseball infield interfering with the field, KFC couldn't strike any great opps on net. Therefore, Sian stole the game back from KFC 's win 2 weeks ago!
MF 3- KFC nil
Anyone know how Alumni Breakers , I mean "UBC Alumni Stown" faired yesterday. I know Westside is lacking players, so a win was probably not in their favour
There is no planning when it comes to the HBDE. SC just snaps her fingers and everyone follows
BTW Skyman, I've already planned the starting line-up, just as long as the gang is following my training regiment - I won't give away my secrets though
HBDE - pub crawl this Friday, Saturday and the next three weeks to follow
The MWSL means very little to some, and I guess that is why there is an opportunity to play whenever you want (oh sorry, that is just me, AND my opinion):
I know no one cares, but it sucks when you are an outsider looking in
waiting, waiting, waiting, waiting...
The premier cup play schedule has been on hold, for weeks now. You have to be an insider just to find out where/when games are being played.
By mistake SC almost went to an exhibition game between the reigning champs and some youth team , in Slurrey of all places
As far as I know, Alumni, Canadians, Slurry U and Westside are still alive
Out,
SC is off to call her mates on each team to find out when and where the next action isrumor has it, there's no play for a few more weekends typical
T-bone (female version)
has informed me that the place to be is Todd Field Sunday April 21st 10:am - "yawn!".
Match up against The Champs (Canadians) and the former Champs Alumni.
Before I make any predictions, I need to know how Jinky's neice and Mrs. Saint are feeling. I know for a fact that my boxing mate T-bone is totally pumped to control the midfield (for the Canucks of course)
