Scotty, the top two teams go through and it doesn't matter what place you finish in, so all you have to do is beat the Brickmen and you're through. All eight teams are placed in a random draw. So if you beat the Brickmen and we manage to beat the Rangers our game is just a kickaround and means nothing.

I hope that next year any type of forfeits in cup play result in a 5-0 score line. It's a bunch of crap when the weather is favourable and there is no one to play. Although we had a good training session, it's not the same.

We could have showed up with 8 players and NO goalie (3 goalies signed all unavailable), and foreited the game at the field...however, we did the honourable thing, paid the fine and let you guys know a head of time, to not waste your time, and 1.5 hr drive for some of our players to get to your field...why does the score line matter, top two get through...all you have to do is beat ONE of the other two teams...which i'm sure you will.

Good movement by your guys, but I don't know how we're meant to defend against crosses onto guys who can jump 10 feet in the air!
Anyway, nice easy match next week for us at home We'll see if we can keep the score respectable - I guess it depends if the cup counts towards the golden boot.

PAFC (1) - GEU (1)

would have to say that both teams weren't happy with the tie.

GEU went up 20 minutes into the 2nd half. Definately weren't putting a ton of pressure on them but then again, we really aren't an offesive juggernaut. Played our defensive game and capatilized on the chance we got. PAFC held most of the p lay from then on we got pretty banged up towards the end with no subs. Definately think we could have squeeked it out.

Should make for an interesting next couple of weeks against Mission. How does the tie-breaker work if all 3 games in this group end in a tie?

Tie breaker is head to head first then goals for and against. Very interesting group indeed.

Lark, too bad about the forfeit, 19 players signed and only 8 can make it for a cup game. Time to get some more committed players. Hopefully next year, the Masters premier league is stronger as this is getting a little boring. We haven't played a competitive game in a long time. I say increase the fine to $250 and give it to the other team, and increase the scoreline to 5-0.

Billy Goathorns made several big saves a few minutes prior to the ugly one. We played like a bunch of rookies who have no idea how to finish off a team.

At the end of the day, we as a team bottled 1st 3 points then the single. Both teams had moans about the officiating, but bottom line, we didn't finish our dinner.
