So the FVSL is toying with the idea of allowing teams in the Masters Division to be CAT affiliated with the other teams in their club.

Why?

Do they think it is going to make the league that much better?

Food for thought: Our team can't CAT with any team in the FVSL because, well, there are no FVSL Surrey United teams other than us. So what do you think would be a plausible solution to this for us? Hmmm, I think there is another league around where it would be much easier for us to "CAT" with...

Re: FVSL Masters CAT

Wah. ;)

We already had a sort of 'CAT' system anyway .
Two from Masters could drop down and play for an open team in the same Club.

I love it when shite doesn't suit your team.
Because man, do we hear about it around the circle thereafter.
And apparently we're the whiners.

Fack off, :D

Then fcuking go there then.

Oh, but wait a minute, isn't that the league where they allow two under 35 players to play each week but they can't compete in the BCs?
Oh no, something else your side is opposed to.

Whatever are you guys going to do Regs?

By no means are we stating that we are going or that we are whining. Just an interesting perspective seeing as that our teams are all playing VMSL. Whatever the majority wants, the majority gets. Democratic system. You can't whine about that.

Regs brings up something that is as obvious as a Surrey United supporter amongst a Ranger crowd. :D

Should I wait until you collect all your thoughts and post or can I make a rebuttal now, Walls, I mean RF?

And apparently we're the whiners.
Who made the motion in the first place AKA The Pasqua Rule?

By all means rebut

Motion = Whining?
Seems to be a very large assumption there Bulljive. ;)
Now who's not first collecting their thoughts?
You know the whole 'when you assume, you make an ass out of u and me?'
Or in this case - Just you. :p

I see nothing wrong with wanting to adopt the same principles as the VMSL.
We'll all be on the same page now. :D

My whine is about Pistol Pete.
Thanks.
My first year in Masters will be his also.

I can't wait.  :(

Nighty night,

Come to think of it...

OK - Now I'm pulling a Walls. ;)

Seriously, it's the first I've heard of the CAT thing.

What is it?

A full on Masters CAT?

Like a two-tiered division, all Masters players?

I heard that Peace Arch tiered off two teams for next year.
Is this what's behind this motion?

Seems to be tough to see signing 30 odd guys over 35 to one Club.

As Balls said, it's a democracy and at least people are chatting/brainstorming ideas.
Nothing wrong with that I suppose.

Why don't they just bring in a 2nd division?

And, while they're at it, let 30-34 year olds play. Greedy old bastards.

Motion/vote was negative, i.e., Pasqua is not allowed to play.

:D

Apparently only 5 team reps showed up to vote.

It was agreed however that an O35 player playing within the club could play on permit with an O35 team.

Other news:

Academico has dropped out.
Chilliwack is in.
Poco has moved/merged with GEU.
Peace Arch has split into 2 squads with the second squad being called the C-team or something like that.
Aves is now back at SU. So is Reedy.

League looks like this now I suppose:

FireRangers
SU
PAU
PAU Semen
Delta
Langley
Sapperton
GEU
Chilliwack
Aldergrove

Noticed the old Poco Thunder are no longer in existence, then heard from a cousin playing for that team that they are "moving to Hammond" as a home park. Is this team merging w/ some of the new Master eligible players out of GEU, i.e.: Millsy?

Hoffmann=Brian Hoffmann, the referee; aka Squareheed. He has run the Academico team for a number of years, as well as the Steel & Engineers' League and Amalgamation Cup in town.

Definitely not involved enough in the game....
