OK so at the beginning of the season I started a Poll for the PreSeason Champions so you could vote on who you think would take the title
Voting went like this (out of 75 voters):

Port Moody 32
Rangers 9
Dewdney 9
North Delta 4
GEU 3
Other 18

Looks like people where bang on with PM.

Obviously ND (11th) and GEU (15th) are impossibilities and it appears that Port Moody is well on it's way to getting the title unless they shite the bed (Jinx)
Rangers, Dewdney United and Razorbacks have a shot with some help and TWU could possibly do it as well.

Current Standings are as follows:

# Team......................GP.....PTS
1Port Moody Gunners.....13.....31
2SFC Rangers...............12.....25
3TWU Titans................12.....24
4Mission SC.................12.....23
5Aldergrove Warriors......12....22
6Dewdney Utd..............11.....21
7Dewdney Razorbacks....11.....21
8Peace Arch Utd...........13.....21
9LUFC Dynamo..............12....19
10Peace Arch Selects....13.....18
11North Delta FC..........13.....17
12LUFC Athletic............14.....17
13Poco City Reserves....10......12
14SFC Strikers..............13......9
15GEU Knights...............13.....9
16Aldergrove Utd...........12.....7
17Surrey Sporting..........13.....7
18Sikh Utd Eagles..........13.....6

Surprises:
Mission - Not sure where this team came from and who's on it but they are holding their own here. Maybe TWU is a bit of a surprise, decent team and sitting in 3rd with points against the other top teams. Well done guys.

Dissapointments:
Obviously North Delta is the biggest dissapointment with a shocking start, but seem to be turning it on of late and GEU who looked to have some of the Premier castoffs and would field a decent team, cant seem to get it together.

What's ahead in the new year:
If Port Moody can win out from here, the title is theres. A few ties and things become interesting. However i think the fight will be for 2nd to 5th.
Games in hand kinda skew the standing right now but it's all up for grabs.

Upcoming Big Games in January (mark your calendars) :
League:
Dewdney United - SFC Rangers
Dewdney Utd - Mission SC
Peace Arch Utd - Peace Arch Selects
Aldergrove Utd - Aldergrove Warriors
Aldergrove Warriors - Dewdney Razorbacks

Cup:

1st Round - Aldergrove Warriors D1 vs Mission SC D1
1st Round - Dewdney Razorbacks D1 vs Dewdney United D1

Merry Xmas and Happy New Year to all Div1 teams. See you in the new year!!

yes, PAU went from 20th to 8th. Although we are only half way through the season.
Where'd you finish at the end of the season last year Predator?

20th :) The Cobra's are a Prem team Franchise, they've had a good turnaround, but that's for another thread. The other GEU team is shite ;)

Overall, Div. 1 is much stronger and competitive compared to last year. I don't think relegation is going to mean much this year as I don't think any teams will go down with us leaving and thus leaving 17 teams. They will try and make it a 20 team league again unfortunately. The big battle is going to be for 2nd place to see who gets to play off against the 2nd worst premier team for promotion. One of 5 or 6 teams could potentially finish second and earn promotion to premier.

Wow.. More snow today in Langley, which easily postpones us for another week. Willoughby and MAP both have still a good 8" of hardened snow.

Where are all those people who bitch and moan about a sped up schedule now? We could be done for all of January at this rate.

Bright side is, free weekends for skiing now.

So if it's the same team, how do they win in Prem but suck in D1?

The plus 5 guys are damn good players.
And they lost me so that helps a lot.
:)

In Div 1 we only lost 2 games by more than 1 goal. Scoring was a problem last year and caused us alot of problems. They've obviously resolved this issue for the Prem team.

A question for the Rangers,,I know Pt. Moody wants to move up and so they should they have earned it,,But I heard a wisper that the Rangers dont want to move up to Premier as it looks like they will at least have a playoff game to play ?? Them or TWU.

Apparently Mission may have a chance as well? or even Aldergrove or Dewdney Razorbacks, since only 1 win seperates them all.
