What game were you at? ? I played the first 35 - 40, and it's usually all I play. Not because I can't last, but because I've had my share of full games over the years, and it's the kids time to play. I'm happy just watching them. Has nothing to do with fitness you moron. I make all the subs, and if I feel we need my presence on the park, I'll go back in, but on that day, we were doing just fine against the slower cheap shot artists you call a team. Nice head butt by the way from # 11.... comes in late, headbutts our guy and knocks his front teeth out.... real classy Nice grab and toss you put on Frodo from behind as well, I guess he pissed you off the whole game, cuz you didn't get by him ONCE, or win a loose ball against him the whole time!!!

Your first AND ONLY goal (again, what game were you at?) came from three players who crashed our keeper and he lost the ball, all three on the goal side of all of our players, and the one idiot while on the ground pushed the ball forward to the TWO ahead of him, and one of them slid it in... I'd call that a little offside. You can call it a great FIRST goal, and the start of your route.

It should be a great game, however do not underestimate our D either as 13 of our goals against came in our first 3 games with a depleted line up. I do hope our game does take place next week as it will be huge in the standings. We will also be missing one of our leading goal scorers due to injury but we are confident that everyone else will work that much harder to get the result that we want.

The canes may score more then us but they have 21 goals against, were we only have 9, so its not like our defence is going to let a ton of goals in, or let them get past us. I think it will be a close game and should be a good game to watch. I don't think its going to happen next weekend, we have a lot of guys that are away for that weekend and if the league isn't making us make it up then i think it will be the new year. But maybe curious knows more about it.


The canes will beat the clones next week because of one of two reasons. One, the canes are faster and have alot more skill and if they play their system they will dominate the game with their quickness. Secondly, the canes have more offense than the clones, clones have only scored more than two goals on a select few games.

I agree that they were shocking in the first half, and LUFC did not take advantage. I thought your backline did play fairly well, considering the depleted roster, but I will say that the amount of kick-and-run employed from the LUFC backline forward was disturbing, though to be fair this was likely due to the U21 players in the lineup....I hope . One further observation: suburbanator, LUFC spends an awful amount of time on their backsides slide tackling and hacking at shins and ankles. I leave my feet once a game or so when its called for, but the amount of hard tackles I saw from LUFC was shocking to say the least. IMO, need to reign that back and focus more on ball movement and jockeying to be more competitive and respected in this division. sub, were you #18, playing up front?

Thanks for the comments Shaven, it is pretty accurate. Backline was solid, but two of my midfielders were back there, leaving my midfield open like a valley of doom. Re: slide tackles etc, not sure why that was happening, one guy in particular was sliding around alot and the hard tackles must have been out of frustration PLUS the fact that we were deep into our roster and some of those guys typically only see 20-30 mins a game.... We only have 4 cards all season, so It's not typical. As for ball movement, on our home pitch we seem to do fine.

#18 I believe was Chris G, who got hurt early and sat most of the 2nd half unfortunately,He is outstanding at holding the ball for us and slowing the game down. I am just coaching this season unfortunately, but if we get any slimmer on the roster I will probably suit up.

I should give Credit to the U21 players for even showing up for us, they are last place in their Division and having a bad season....

I took Guru off the field with less than 10 minues left in first half...and as far as I can recall....you didn't play much more than that. Very sad considering Guru's twice your age and he played the same amout as you did. What's this FIRST goal shite? You only got one....and it was so far offside only OUR ref could of missed it. We never played U21, and if we did, maybe you can explain how a 42 year old played with us. Look who's hiding behind the computer now, dude. All talk, all season...and you were one of the worst players on the park. You even tried to throw me down late in game cause you knew you couldn't beat me fairly...classy move. We'll see what happens after x-mas....you got lucky this time....it won't happen again.

Agreed T, and duly noted. Lads, a friendly note from one of the moderators, er wait, that's me! This excessive quoting is ridiculous, and will cease immediately. If I see any more novel-length posts on here with a ton of quotes, I will start deleting them. When making reference to a particular post, as I have done above, simply edit the quote down to the line or two that are relevant to your post, or simply just address the post to the person you're wanting to take note of it. Not every post needs to be quoted, especially the longer ones. For instruction on how to use the quote feature effectively, please reference any of my quotes, or go to the FVSL Premier thread and see how it should be done, as its done most effectively there.
