I drove by both fields this morning and they are both still covered with snow.

I figure Westview (in Maple Ridge) will also be shut down with snow still on it.

No soccer at parkside this weekend........natural grass, still snow covered, pretty much 100% not going to happen. At least I know I can take off and go to the mountian for the weekend.

Alas, another game unplayed, but a week to focus on the wolves at the willoughby turf, as most if not all turf fields are likely to be open next weekend..... Save for more snow......Fcuking snow......

SFC 'Caps 1 - 3 WRU

First game back, comfortable win, good to get the rustiness off while others sit at home drinking cocoa.

Pretty comfortable game, could have been 6 or 7 if our strikers weren't still thinking about turkey sandwiches and port. Missed about 4 open nets, and their keeper made several last-ditch saves to keep them in it.

One up at halftime and in total control of the game, 2nd half they are more competitive as the Christmas festivities catch up with us. We eventually get a 2nd with 10mins to go.

They pull one back with 5 to go, to make the closing minutes interesting, but hit them on the counter-attack to seal the win.

Good game back, despite the rain.

SOmeone should take a picture of Moody turf and see what happens when you plow

Port Moody lower turf is trashed because of the age of the turf and the fact in the last 2 years someone in Port Moody thought it was agood idea to clear the snow, but I don't think they used a plow the machine looked more like a steam roller. WTF

They got a goal on their only chance early in the first half. 1-0 at half....then we controlled the entire second half scoring 5.

WRU 3 LUFC Nomads 1..... Really quite a quality game from both teams. They opened with a beauty free kick, and went up 1-0. We came back quick with a beauty inside the 18. After that we really just took the game. Came out of half time 1-1, and we just kept up the play. They were short a few, and it definately showed. They had 1 shot all half and we had over a good 6. Scored the 2nd off a free kick rebound, and then a third on a break away reboun. All in all, a quality game from both sides.
