Moved above post into here - for reference, @Tim Berners-Lee was speaking of Langley Benders getting thumped 8-1 to open the season last night...

That is a tough draw for benders, west coast United is a strong team, and most likely added a few more players from last year. I don't know anything about the benders but they seemed fit and ready to go on the practice field beside us. No doubt west coast is good, but not that good. I don't think the benders will be the div. 2 whipping post this year......game report?

Celtic 3-1 Vault

First of like to give a thanks to Vault for allowing us to borrow their spare kit as our guy who has the kits was MIA. Hope you guys enjoyed the beer. Game was fairly even with chances going both way. Celtic had a goal called back and a missed opportunity in the box early then Vault went up 1-0 on a cross and a header. They got a PK after our goalie brought down their guy in the box which our keep saved to keep it 1-0 at half. Celtic tied it up about 15 into the second and added a few more with about 15 to go. Lots of tired legs today but a good result to start the year. Also nice to finally meet @Chelsea4life. Classy group of guys as always. Now onto bye week and some sturgeon fishing. Cheers Cascade.

Condolences from all dynamo regarding the loss of one of their players over the summer, very somber moment of silence before the game.

Looks like a different side from last year, a lot of new/young faces. It also showed with the constant bitching at the ref after every call. Sure the ref got a few calls wrong but hey what do you do....?

Anyway, they had a few good chances in the first as we found or legs. Then, we eventually took over the game. Had about 50 corners, missed a few sitters (including one from yours truly). I believe both goals were in the second half.

Was unaware of a Pomo player passing, condolences from us at Celtic. @R-Tee we're on a new grass field, same complex just in the middle, was a lot better than years past, its one of the fields the youth get, so the clubs actually take care of it.

Great result for Royals with the 3-1 win over the Knights. Royals are a solid team, still shocked at the result mind you with the roster the Knights have. Milan also with a great result with a 1-0 win over a solid FV team.

Well... it was an eye opening. 1st half was ok, we were in the game more or less. 2-0 at the end with a PK (hand ball in the box) and nice shot that deflected off a defender both unlucky and we had a few good chances.

The biggest thing in the second half is that those kids keep running, we did not. Haven't been whooped like that in 3 years that we've been a team, so with any luck that'll smarten up the team a bit and open their eyes.

Good overall game. The better team won. Dynamo will be a tough team to beat. One bad give away to dynamo and they burried it in the back of our net. Hopefully we can do a little better next time. Good to be back on ttp. And thanks R-tee and cascade for your words about our teammate. He was 23 and loved soccer more than anyone. Was a great guy with a huge heart, he will forever be missed. Was our managers son
