Div 1 [FVSL Div. 1] Banter and results. Sept. 2006

One week away from the start of the year and no one knows who they are playing.

This should be an interesting year for Div. 1. The division has expanded by ten teams. Some should maybe not be there. The B side looks to be a lot stronge than the A side.

There will be some battles.

Not a bad squad. Two of their graduates ended up with us this year. I expect them to hold their own since they have sort of turned D1 into a D 1.5-2.0

BTW, since you feel it is tiered... how do you feel about being placed in the "B" for Bullocks group? AKA The RESERVE Division 1, the back-up Div 1 ? Otherwise known as "the other D1ish teams.", The "D1 Teams in waiting".

DMU Div 2 team played TWU in the cup last year. They are a skilled young group of boys. Lots of potential, they just need to start playing more as a team. I think they will be fine.

Nice to see you over on the D1 side this year. To bad we didnt end up in the same group as we sure had a couple good matches with you guys last year. I guess we will be battling with a new Langley Athletic side this year. Should be interesting to finally get to play Dude and the boys. Kinda lame with only 9 teams in 1B though.

Div.1 is typically made of teams w/ young players either on their way up, or old players on their way down. We deffinitely fall into the 2nd category, while Sub's boys are more like in the 1st.

the Sporting - Rangers game has been moved to 10am on Sunday.

Apparently, they have a wedding Sunday afternoon and have requested an earlier start.
