It wasn't until the sub came on that Canada actually picked up the pace of their play and attacked. You have to do that to stay in a game. Buchanan wasn't the problem but Millar was shite from start for the most part and Kone must have been overly uptight playing for the scouts.
The moment you play tippy tappy and dwell on the ball against a top team you're facked as these teams just jump on that.
Back line organization needs a fix.
GK was brilliant but should never have been put in those positions.
Davies had some great play but there were times he was out of position and that can't happen.
Canada is never going to score against top teams until these guys don't give a damn who the goal scorer is.
The ref. When you see a fiery Venezuelan reffing you have to know you're in trouble and won't get calls but how on freaking earth can this guy get another game not making calls against Argentina that was so blatant.
I don't give a shite about they made them wait to start the second half as that should have given Canada more incentive to get at these guys.
Like England in their tourney, Canada seems to be playing in fear like their coaches. Shaffelburg added the jump they lacked from the opening and why he isn't in the starting line up is a surprise. Yes he gave away a number of bad passes to opponents but his ball to David was right where it needed to be.
Shocking marking at the back is surprising, given the situation. Players watching is a bit much at that level.
