RT sucked. So did everyone else in WFC colors.

Dude, he can hardly have a cracker when everyone around him had their head up their ass.

I, for one, am getting tired of you constantly dumping on RT. He's the best homegrown talent to ever come out of WFC, and your incessant criticism of the lad is bordering on an unhealthy obsession.

Please stop.

I'm looking forward to seeing Parker paired w/ Waston tonight. Kah is frighteningly inconsistent, and for a seasoned pro, makes way too many brain farts.

And, is it just me, or has Harvey gotten better over the last part of last season, and beginning of this? Maybe it is the competition for time, but in his minutes relieving Sam, he's looked solid. That, or we've been so focused on RT, we've forgotten about our other favorite whipping boy.

I actually thought about that over the weekend (when the wife was out at the beer store) - Harvey has looked much better!

Regs as far as Canadian kids not getting minutes. Why?. Number one if you played on reserves for last seven years there is no need for development. You get ten minutes to play you must score a goal to show coach that you are ready. It's not a house league. Our kids do not want it hard enough. It really does not matter if you play midfield D or attacker given a chance you must step up. They are not working hard enough in the practices to show it. Most are more concern about frycken hair cuts than making the team. They need kick in the ars to get going. Yes we do have kids that could step in and do the job but not that many. If you belong to some other school Caps would not even talk to you. It is all political and our kids go waste side.
With out Canadian League and six must be Canadian in starting eleven nothing will ever happen. After 18 beer league and that is it.

Speaking of intimate atmosphere... just read that the BC Lions are going lower-bowl only for 2015.

WTF good is a 60K stadium if half the seats are NEVER going to be used now?

That is interesting because Lions averaged over 28,000 last two seasons so they will obviously easily have full lower bowl.

I guess that they will now increase the price for season tickets so it is always about milking more and more from the loyal fans.

And, no, I am not going to say a word about going into another direction: lowering season ticket prices and trying to get to 35,000 or even more.

Tear the POS down and build a real stadium like Century Link, but with less seats if you only want to use 20 000

Regs, if only someone had the money, land, and resources to build a private, 25,000 seat stadium somewhere DT, this wouldn't be an issue.

Looking at this, I'd say the rumblings are true. http://www.bclions.com/seasontickets . Compared to the Caps (same seating configurations): http://www.whitecapsfc.com/tickets/2015-Season-Tickets

In the case of the Lions, I would not disagree with a pricing strategy of the upper-deck that is lower than previous. Why? They already average enough to warrant looking at that strategy. If they go lower bowl only, they should sell-out, every time.

Comparing the two:

Lions: Coach's sideline, $660.00, 10 games, avg. $60 / game.
Caps: Purple: $554.00, 19 game (I think...are CC games included?), $29.16 / game.

The rules of supply and demand would suggest the Lions are in more demand. The same laws would also suggest that one could offer a block of tickets in the upper bowl for an extremely low price and likely generate a huge number of units sold...certainly more easily than the Caps, who sell fewer tickets at lower ticket prices. I mean, this isn't rocket science, it's actually Econ 101...which amazingly, I failed, the first time. 48%, and my prof wouldn't bump me up to 50% because he (ironically) didn't appreciate me missing a couple of Mico Economics classes to travel for school soccer games. Dink...

That said, I see the Caps as being on the rise in this city, and the Lions on the fall. The CFL does not seem to have any appeal to young people, at all. The Caps on the other hand put on a great show, and are affordable (RL, this means cheap). That, combined w/ the women's WC, and relatively huge following of registered players, it's only a matter of time, me thinks.

Interesting article from last year:
http://thetyee.ca/News/2014/06/20/BC-Lions-Pay-to-Play/

Why is it such a secret how much rent BC Lions (and/or Whitecaps) pay to play in BC Place?

I admit that I did not know that PavCo (or better to say we as taxpayers) paid $15 mil for temporary Empire Stadium (during BC Place renovations). I was under impression that Whitecaps and BC Lions paid for it but....

I'll admit to not reading the whole thing. I'm busy, and in demand.

But I did read this:

"The 2011 Grey Cup wasn't enough to put PavCo into the black and the 2014 game is unlikely to do the trick either. For 2012-2013, the most recent year available, PavCo reported a $13.036 million deficit at BC Place. This year's projection is a $24.345 million loss."
Yet the socialist side of the public would cry murder if Pavco were ever to be sold to Primate interests...

I somewhat understand the need for squad rotation but fcuk me robbo, do you have to rotate everyone at the same time?!?!?

Where the hell was Koffie in that line up? He's barely played this year and was a stud last game.
