as big of a flamer as he is, I would like to see phaneuf, solid player, and can lay the hits out. Good to watch.

Polska.......stamkos? Not yet, morrow and richards bring more to the table.
Richards is a little suprising, but he is one of the best penalty killers in hockey. His downfall, he only is useful at centre. Morrow on the other hand is very versatile, gritty and good in both ends of the ice.
Bergeron is my big HUH?!?!

A couple of questions marks in this group no doubt, but that was inevitable right? Fingers pointed one way or the other, in the end, the entire Canadian backroom and coaching staff has faith in this squad, so why shouldn't we?

Keep in mind with the NHL season and leagues abroad are still playing, injury could strike at any given moment in the coming weeks and there could be late additions to the lineup...

All in all, a solid squad IMO.

How many of those 8 centres can play effectively at wing? I know Marleau can, but the rest.... who knows?

I think Marty St. Louis should have been picked. He's as consistent as they come and a good penalty killer. Plus he showed up for Canada at both the 08 and 09 world championships and was the tournament leading scorer there last year.
