Need a little gambling 101 here mate

If you're betting on say two or more games, is it better to go with a parlay or just a straight bet for each ?? What are the advantages ??

Only reason is that I landed 6/7 of the World Cup Qualifiers yesterday (The Argies fcuked me) and I just noticed the whole parlay thing. I'm new to this other than the occassional sports action flutter, etc.

Walks, big parlays are losing bets most of the time.....that's why bookies let us make the bets. I have been keeping my parlays to two and three games max.......seems to be working but obviously the more you play, they less like the parlay will come through. Having said that, if you keep getting 6 out of 7 or 5 out 6....you're guaranteed to win money as long as they stakes match the stake of the parlay. Sports Action really does suck ass in terms of odds so it is definitely better to play online.......

For the record, I didn't even get a bet on tonight.

How ****ing good are the oddsmakers in Vegas? I was looking at college basketball earlier and noticed that North Carolina were 46 point favorites against perennial powerhouse North Carolina Central...........Final score: North Carolina 89 NCC 42 ****ing 47 points.........didn't bet on the game but that was the opening line today before dropping to 44.5........


I was looking at the over/under on the Boston/Utah game.........191.5 - Final Score

Boston 101 Utah 85...........unbelievable how close these guys are
