I'd assume it's an automatic win for Columbus but stranger things have happened in soccer. When Jim Easton Sr and I were running the SFU JV in the U/23 PCL, the other team started a brawl and the game was abandoned. We were winning the game. Despite Jack Moon agreeing that they should have lost that game and we get the points, their executive who I spoke to decided to give no points dropping us from 2nd to 4th despite their being no dispute about the facts!!!




It was about the same time as my own Div 2 Clan Alumni team was playing an Imperial Cup game and our opponent had an SFU Varsity player in their lineup who wasn't signed but I told my players who were also included SFU students to keep their mouths shut as we'd only use that information AFTER the game and ONLY IF we lost. We won so said nothing but let the player know we knew.
