Seems like it's back on!

Van Halen set to tour with Roth

Van Halen is ready to jump back onto the tour circuit this summer in a reunion with original lead singer David Lee Roth, according to Billboard magazine.

The 1970s rockers are set to make a "major" announcement next Monday, the band announced in a release on Tuesday.

Billboard is reporting the announcement is a tour with 50 dates in arenas across North America.

Van Halen and tour company Live Nation have not confirmed the tour or the reunion with Roth.

Van Halen hasn't toured with Roth in more than 20 years. He left the band in the mid-1980s for a solo career, but has worked with Van Halen intermittently in the intervening years.

This is the second report this year of a reunion involving singer Roth, guitarist Eddie Van Halen and drummer Alex Van Halen.

A tour of the three original band members with Wolfgang Van Halen, Eddie's son, on bass, fell apart this spring.

Eddie Van Halen, whose strong guitar work provides the backbone for the group's sound, entered rehab for unspecified reasons in March.

Formed in 1974 in Pasadena, Calif., Van Halen had a bestseller with the album 1984 and the singles Jump, Hot for the Teacher and Panama.

The band was inducted into Cleveland's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame earlier this year.
