Poor Leno. Poor leno indeed.

The Golden Path is a fine, fine song. I wish it well on its quest to chartdom.

life out there........

Someone does read my selecta's! Good for you, Mike, old bean, I always knew you had it in you.

Happy belated returns of the day as well. While I'm at it.

Because it pays to be at it.

Still listening to the Manics, then? Heaven help you though they have got a new one out. Doesn't sound anything like anything else they've ever fcuking released. You'd love it.

Thanks for passing comment on that P**nut track. I listened (and even liked) that one for you and what do I get for it. Nothing, that's fcuking what.

Never liked you anyway.

second effort.........

See if this lot are up to your 'Stone(d) Roses(!)' alley.

You might start to get some of these choons in six-ten months time. I know you live in Vancouver and are therefore starved of anything resembling good music. Ryan Adams?

I'll get your coat.

Freeland 'We Want Your Soul'
The Free Association 'Sugarman'
Travis 'Re-offender'

Album choice: Belle and Sebastien 'Dear Catastrophe Waitress'. Produced by Trevor Horn.

Weak, Fastshow.

Yes.. the new Belle and Sebastian is quite good and, while we're at it, Ryan Adams has produced some memorable tunes over the years (in Whiskeytown etc...) yet methinks the time he spent with Winona Ryder has gone to his head.

SMITHS............... THIS CHARMING MAN

Well it's about time they released the new Smiths. They've been preparing us for this one since 1983 I believe.

Anyone know when the noo Al Jolson toon is coming out?

rank.......

Luc,

Study Smallsy's post carefully. Yes, he's cracking on about a Welsh band (who aren't even as good as The Alarm) who make music for men who are afraid of the dark and who live with their Mums but at least their music is recently released. Even if the majority of it sounds like a Procal Harem b-side from 1975. The name of this thread is 'Noo Choons' not 'A Big Fcuk-Off List of Music I've Cut And Paste From Somewhere Else.' I suggested some of that lot ages ago. Some of it was released ages ago. Some of it is fcuking shocking. The Electric Six? Hell's bollocks man.

'Obstacle 1'- Interpol
'Dice'- Finlay Quaye

Stepfather Factory is not one of El-Producto's finer works.

If you're looking for something out of Def Jux worth listening to, try El-P's "Lazerface's Warning" - the RJD2 remix.

An aside. If any of you are at all interested in production albums like the efforts put forth by DJ Shadow, Jel, RJD2, Prefuse 73 and Peanut Butter Wolf (by now you've read the list and proclaimed, "no"), and enjoy supporting local artists who aren't Nickleback and Swollen Members, you'd be impressed by the most recent album by south Vancouver's resident mcenroe and his new album, "disenfranchised". He lives right across from South Memorial park, if anybody cares. And the Georgia Straight are pimping him for a Juno nomination. Fun facts.

Garble.

Me. Obviously.

After that, everyone else.

TTP rule #1 is that it's all about Fastshow.

You'll find it written in bold in the welcome pack Regs sent you.

Got the NEW Stephen Duffy and the Lilac Time album yesterday just in time for Autumn.

It's all about Autumn. And wearing sweaters.

Question for Fasty et al...

Fastshow, enjoy your picks, keep the UK spirit alive, I am a "Euro trash" lover myself. Question though, I was at the old Marble Arch on a stag a couple years back and the bird on stage had a track by Air going. I asked her what the name of the song was but I was too shitfaced to remember and as you can see it has taken me 2 years to remember that. Its a dance song that makes 40 year old breats look brilliant! Any ideas?

Cheers, bertrum

PS When is the new "Doors" album coming out with former frontman from the Cult Ian Astbury? That should be interesting.

?

I have some ideas, yes.

For instance, I once thought it would be a good idea to go to Ibiza with my then wife and brother-in-law. As it turned out, going to such a venue when the fork and knife and her bottomite brother was not a good idea though it was, it must be said, an idea. Another idea I had once was to play for the Meralomas. While that too was an idea, it also suffered from being an utterly shite idea.

I have an idea the Air track of which you search is from their Moon Safari album. I've an idea that if it isn't on that one you could explore their Virgin Suicides CD or their 10,000 Hertz Legend offering.

Your best bet is Moon Safari, however. It's just an idea.

As far as your 'PS' goes, I have no idea. I see no reason for The Doors to be rehashed, Ian Astbury's presence notwithstanding. It's a poor idea.

It might be an idea to try a 'google' search for the answer to your query. I'd do it for you but I have an idea it would mean far more to you.

I've never heard of dance music making sagging tits look better. Were you simply drunk when hearing this Air song or were you steaming on bugel as well?

motley crew.........

Four for today.........

Outkast- 'Ghetto Musick'
Joe Strummer & The Mescaleros - 'Coma Girl'
Dub Pistols feat. Terry Hall - 'Problem Is'
The Sleepy Jackson - 'Good Dancers'

The Dub Pistols is one of the best songs of 2003 so far if only as a result of the presence of living-legend Terry Hall.
