We thumped a team 100 places lower in the FIFA rankings. Why even play a team of that calibre?

Davies at left back.
He may be capable but why place our most offensive threat in a defensive role? I know it's just exhibition.

Agreed. Couldn't we have looked at number 2 or 3 for that position instead??
What a waist and useless use of time and opportunity.

I don't think these games are exhibition games and they do not have a choice who they play. These games are going to be used to determine seedings for up coming Gold cups and I believe world cup qualifiers.

Correct, this game was not by choice; CONACAF made us play it. Sure it was a walkover, but I will agree with the sentiment that it is nice to see us actually throttle a team that we are supposed to be 100 plus places higher than. Spain, England, Germany, etc. all end up having to play San Marino, Andorra and Gibraltar on occasion.

Thanks for correcting me! I'll need to learn what this Nations League is all about. I thought it was an exhibition game. lol

Some of the attacking options Canada now has is giving me some hope....for the first time in a long time there is some depth going forward good to see.

Me too. Feels a bit like Charlie Brown running up to Lucy holding the football.

Games that you have to play.
Games that you should be blooding the young guns in.
Games where you don't let up on the pressure on the minnows because the sharks won't let up either.

Yeah, I totally agree, and that's exactly it. The guys are fighting for time, you want them going full tilt, no matter what. I do think our 2004 Langley squad would have beaten that UVI, though.

Slightly lost in the Robbo shuffle today was Balou Tabla committing to play for Canada; he will be capped in the next window vs. Dominica.

Scouting report is good on this kid, looks like he has a shot to catch on in Europe. Hopefully he pans out. Regardless, it is nice to see players committing to Canada for a change.
