Why do west coasters hate Toronto so much? Surely, they're die hard. Oh, how that's a negative. At the very least, they've proven how to support a football team.

I lived there for two years, have family there, and have had two jobs during my career where I was forced to travel to work there and deal with the egomaniacs and meglomaniacs that work in the ivory towers there that think the Sun rises and sets from their arses. The term "left coast" doesn't just mean that we are on the left hand side of the country...It's funny how when someone from Vancouver on a conference call brings up a potential solution to an issue that is ongoing how it is often shot down and dismissed as a whole roll the eyes and say "What do you granola munchers know?" and then you get a memo two weeks later and your idea has been claimed as someone elses and is being imposed on the group...
I have had three wonderful experiences travelling to Montreal. I as a rule do not like the Quebecois much (because of the language on signs thing and the whole seperation thing), But Montreal is a very blended city of Anglo's and Francophones, I'm sure, city architecture etc aside, that I would loathe Quebec city. McGill university is a brilliant party in a great area of town
As far as properly supporting a football team? surely you are joking right? TFC is just another cog in the wheel that is MLSE...The Toronto Lynx struggled for years to get more than 2,000 people to watch games...all of a sudden they are in the "Best League" and sell out the "National Soccer Stadium"
They purport to be Canada's only Professional soccer league, see Kevin Harmses comments upon his trade to them from LA, yet he is only one of a few Canadians that get any playing time on that team along with Brennan and Sutton. Toronto FC - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Roselund, Gyan, Gala, Hemming etc get relagted to spot duty night in night out.By the above thought process about "properly supporting a football team"
, If Swangard can get to +5,000 most nights we should be looking to build a 60,000 all seater for our MLS Team that will be announced on Thursday at the MLS All Start festivities...I have gone religiously to the Whitecaps games for four years now, and have to say that once we get a proper DT stadium (BC Place or otherwise) with the Caps playing in the "top league" and the Caps stop selling to the Soccer Mom and 5 year old for their "Wendy's nights" Whitecaps games will be as fun for everyone else as they have been for me and a few of my mates for the last years...

I'm still resting on my laurels from Sunday night............I'm expecting that to be the case for the next lot of days too.
Yes, every once and a while a full harvest moon rises.
As for this argument, I can put it to rest right now in a way that will have Captain and Bucky kissing and making up in no time.
Politically, they have both fcuked us over for generations, and will continue to fcuk us over. Economically, we’re on our own planet here in the west, and get treated like shite no matter who we’re dealing with in TO or Quebec. I can tell you how many times I’ve been in the office here at 6:00, and I get a call from either Ontario or Quebec, and they seem surprised that it isn’t 8 or 9:00 here.
So, at the end of it all, it comes down to the features.
Montreal’s strippers, escorts, and corned beef sandwiches kick ass.
Other than, well, erm…something I’m sure…there is no good reason to visit Toronto.
