BBC Sport are reporting that Owen Hargeaves is going to Manchester United for approximately 17 million pounds, according to Bayern Munich President Franz Beckenbauer...

BBC SPORT | Football | My Club | Man Utd | Bayern confirm sale of Hargreaves

Interesting rumour in Munich that Bayern may now go after Arjen Robben...

Also interesting rumours about Miroslav Klose:

MUNICH, Germany (AP-CP) -- Calgary-born England midfielder Owen Hargreaves is leaving Bayern Munich for Manchester United.

Bayern president Franz Beckenbauer and board member Helmut Markwort confirmed on German television Sunday that the transfer would go ahead.

Manchester United had tried to get Hargreaves, who is eligible to play for England because his father was born there, during the mid-season transfer period but Bayern had refused to let him go.

Bayern will earn "a little bit over" 25 million euros (C$36.8 million) from the deal, Beckenbauer said during a talk show on DSF television.

The Bayern bosses also indicated that the club would try to lure Werder Bremen striker Miroslav Klose during the summer. Klose still has a year on his contract and Bremen has said he won't be allowed to join another Bundesliga club before he becomes a free agent.

But Markwort said Bremen had to decide whether "it wants money" for Klose.

Bayern finished the season without a title and is rebuilding the team..

Apart from Hargreaves, several players are leaving the club -- Hasan Salihamidzic, Claudio Pizarro and Ali Karimi. Mehmet Scholl has ended his career.

Bayern has signed Jan Schlaudraff from Alemannia Aachen, Hamit Altintop from Schalke and Jose Ernesto Sosa from Estudiantes de La Plata and the club has said a number of other signings would be revealed soon."

How does one play with two holding midfielders? Carrick and Hargreaves play very similarly. 4-2-2-2?

Granted Ronaldo and Giggs arent the most defensive wingers to ever play the game, so maybe that's enough push.

Now they just need to replace Mr Glass (Saha)
