Last January was my first time, and i'm heading down in february for my 2nd.

Stayed at the Mirage, Wed - Sat., very nice place, with some good results gambling. Good Buffet, and centered on the strip so everything is near by... well atleast it looks near by.

Only went to Cheetah's, Very decent, affordable prices!!

Club wise, Thursday night, went to raw at the luxor, not that bad, not that great. Friday night went to Pure at Caeser's palace... it was only open for 2 weeks and what a place.... over 45000 square feet of club, 3 different types of music with an full outdoor patio.... tons of lovely ladies... :knvb: Partied with Frank Thomas as well.... Good times, good times...

Want to hit Rain this time at the Palms....

Any other places to go, things to see??

I also went to old Vegas, which was a site.... Night time is the time to go, as teh light show is worth the visit. Plus they have smaller tourney holdem going on during the day. Might have to make a pit stop there.

Pure Night Club!!!

Heaven on Earth.

Funny story when I was there for a mates stag I emailed down about two weeks before said I play for the Columbus Crew, so we get there they let Ja Rule in then the LA Lakers (pre season game in LV) then my 'Columbus Crew' boys.

The Patio upstairs overlooking the strip is amazing, and the talent wasnt so bad either!

I'm with the others that Pure (Caesars) and Ghostbar (Palms) are great spots, basically either those hotels have the best clubs, ICE (just off the strip) is also a pretty cool place. Skip Jet, it's fairly pricey and definitely not worth it in my opinion. Dinning is awesome at Bellagio and you can't beat Caesars for shopping.

Have a great trip, nothing says memories like Vegas.

Where to and where not to go? Hmmm. Well, I don't know about places you should get to but I know where not to go. Namely anywhere KNVB is, as then you would actually have to talk to the guy. Also, I would not go pooh in a urinal, I would go pooh in a toilet. As well, I wouldn't go drinking with a horse, of course.

next to the Flamingo is a casino (can't remember the name right now - big Surprise...) where they have a section at the back for Dealertainers. All the Blackjack tables have dealers who are dressd up and look like famous musicians. Billy Idol, Debbie Harry, Stevie Wonder, Shania, etc. Every once in a while they get up and sing - it's a great way to gamble and party at the same time. Of course, not tapinmg your stick before you jump the boards is another way to gamble and party...

Went down there ten years ago when we turned twenty one.
Cheatas was a blast that time girls were friendly and the cost wasn't too bad. Also went to a club where they filled the dance floor with bubbles can't remember the name but the girls were filthy and needed the bath so that was a good time. Also ran into Charles Barkley and that is one big guy.
We went two years ago for a stag.
Cheatas was over priced and the bouncers working there were a bunch of pricks. They wanted us to pay two hundred dollars to sit for an hour after you pay your ten each to get in. We decided to find our own seat and probably spent about $400 between us on drinks and girls in less than a half hour. Bouncer comes over and kicks us out of our seats, even the guys getting lap dances at the time had to leave, the girls were even pissed at the bouncers. Won't go there again. We did go on a limo bus tour and that was a blast definetly worth it, can't remember the clubs they took us too but we didn't have to wait in any lines.
We found it best to gamble at the lower end casinos, we seemed to do better there for some reason. Yes it is the Imperial Palace that has the dealers dressed up like stars.

Going this spring for another stag.
Avoiding cheatas, getting a suite and we will get a couple of girls up there instead kind of like the movie very bad things but with a little requiem for a dream twist to it (I think those are the proper names of the movies). Anyway it is Vegas so it is going to be a good time no matter what just doubt I'll remember much.

Went last year on a buddy's wedding and I'm sure 4 days in the place shaved at least a year off my life.

Clubs:

Ghostbar @ The Palms is on fire (55th Floor)
Light @ The Bellagio is a little pretentious but full of stunners.
VooDoo Lounge @ The Rio (51st Floor)

A must is the pool at the Hard Rock as well. It's almost 5 acres and is something out of Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous. Every Sunday afternoon & evening, they turn the place into 'Rehab' - basically a pool party with DJ's and all kinds of stuff going on.

Restaurants:

Dining is Vegas is arguably some the best in the world. Top Chefs are flown in from everywhere to work here as obviously, money is abundant. I went to the Steakhouse at the Luxor which was fantastic.

Buffets in the 'major' hotels are awesome as well. The amount of food on display is borderline retarded (kind of like knvb) and is all very high quality. Most buffets range from $10 - $15 but apparently the top buffet in Vegas is at the Bellagio but is more pricy - about $25.

God bless Vegas, there's certainly no other place like it.

Was there for 2 straight weekends last spring. One was a stag and one was "work".

Best Highlight of the 2 weekends was watching some guy lose 25,000 in about 10 minutes while i was watching a craps game. His wife was pissed after he lost about 10gs and then he went chasing after the loss. Oops. I am pretty sure he wasn't getting shutout in his hotl room later that eveening as well. :D It was pretty funny to see and i was pissing myself laughing. Nothing like someone elses misery to perk you up late at night.

During the Stag we hit Rain at the Palms. Good night out but a bit dodgy getting in ( may have been because it was me and 15 Indo guys trying to get in for the Stag  ) and there was some ludicrously drunk blonde puking on people on the way to the closest bar inside. Her girlfriend was holding her hair back in the club while they were sitting on the area around the dance floor and i saw at least one person fall in the puke before the paramedics came and got them out.
The pool area becomes a club as well at nights.

The Piano bar at the New York, New York is money. i have had an awsome time there all 5 or 6 different times i have been there.

Drai's at the Barbary Coast is agood spot to hit late night. It doesn;t really open until 2am as it is a fine dining restauarant until 1 but always a good late night place.

Barbary Coast is home to the best Blackjack tables in Vegas as well. I always win there. I was up 1900 US for the stag and about 850 for the work weekend while playing there. I gave most of the 850 back playing drunken craps at the Mandalay Bay at 3 am with a huge group of people i know from the convention i was at.

DOwntown Vegas is making a comeback as well. They have some alright Gentlemans Clubs there as well as the cool over the street video board. Also one of the small Casino's has a bar that serves over 140 types of beer. Still not finished on their list yet but i am now 3/4 done. BAstards keep addin more types though.

Most restaurants are good done there. We ate a seafood place at the MGM grand that was phenomenal. We also ate at Morton's steakhouse _ great steak, very expensive
Italian place ( Il candellero??? something like that )in the shopping area of the Venetian which was incredible but had one of the most expensive wine list i have ever seen.

What a Convention!

Still recovering....got back Wednesday night.

The Wynn is amazing. All class. Isn't gaudy or overboard with decorations, just very classy.
The service was excellent...and the rooms were perfect.
Never actually saw the golf course...but heard from others that it is a nice course.

Purchased some future sports plays.

took the avalanche and the maple leafs to win Lord Stanley. Both at 15 to 1. Caesars was offering 12 and 13 to 1 respectively.
The biggest difference was with World Cup .
At Caesars USA were 8 to 1 , but at the Wynn you could get 25 to 1...
I ended up taking Holland at 10 - 1, Spain at 15 to 1, and HAD to pick up and Italy ticket at 6 to 1 (Caesars was offering 5 to 1)

Cant wait to go back to Cash them in and have a free trip.

At $500 US a round it better be.....

The Wynn is the best hotel on the strip IMO. After flogging the Bellagio, Steve(?) Wynn has definetely stepped it up a knotch. If I was on the strip, I would be wondering what he is thinking of building next and where. Anybody owning land nearby could be in for a very large windfall if he wants it.

Cheers
