After three days and eight games, it's a toss up between the two German goals against Costa Rica: Lahm (6') & Frings (87'). Lahm's got the placement -- sweet stuff off the inside top corner, but Frings' had the distance and power.

It's a tough choice, but I'll go with Frings' Gerrard-esque strike. It was arguably more savable than Lahm's, but -- DAMN! -- it was fcuking wicked.

I agree. Frings' shot takes the cake................so far. I expect we will some more of similar quality.

Those first two German strikes were quality!

Quite liked the first Mexican goal yesterday too, off the set piece.

What are you guys going on about? The goal of the tournament is to crown a world champion of football. Speaking of goals, short-term my goal is to survive this work day. Long-term my goal is to impregnate an alien and start my own race of super short super-geniuses. Either that or retire at 40 and sit around watching porn all day.

I'll vote for the German, Onion Frings.

Well, I think we'd be safe add Rosicky to the list of great goals. WOW, he certainly knows where to place 'em.

Cracker!

US has absolute shite going forward. Passes off the mark don't help, either. Seems the best the can do right now is send a high ball up, and see what happens.

The Czeck are "Nice on the eyes", as the English play-by-play man puts it.

Keep the onion Frings. Rosicky's first goal was the best one so far.

Dap: you've got it wrong, son. It's not about watching porn, it's about being IN porn.:D

I'll take a draw between Frings goal and Rosicky's goal...
Brazil haven't played yet...so I don't think these two will stand up for much longer...They always seem to score some magic goals...And wait till the likes of R Carlos and ROnaldinho start hitting that Balloon at the keepers from distance...Gonna be scary.

I have to agree the Torres goal was magic... The build up was first class and the finish was nae bad as well... However, Mr. Gerrard had something to say with his left foot at the end of the England vs T&T game this morning!!! What a cracker!!!

After feeling the disappointment of losing the FA Cup final because of Gerrard's last minute goal, the only comfort I could draw from losing that day was "That little prick better do that for England in June."

Who would of thought it would be against Shaka again. How ironic is that.?

Oooooh, I think we can add Joe Cole to this list.

That was really -- just really, very nice.

(Six of One, I remember you scoring that same kind of goal on me at Manoah Steeves)

Cole's strike was good but the keeper was well off his line.....bad mistake for a blooping volley.

I still think Torsten Frings was the most powerful rip and of course, the Argentinian 24 pass goal was the class of the tournament.....
