HOS, our team joined the NSCL this year to have a chance at one of the three provincials spots they have for BC's in the master's. With us joining we messed up the 10 team configuration. So what the league decided at the beginning of the year is everyone would play each other once, after 10 games played the top 6 teams would be put in Div 1 and the bottom 5 in div 2. Everyone plays against their own division one more time. The top 2 teams in div 1 automatically get 2 provincial berth's. The 3rd place div 1 plays the top div 2 team in a one game knockout at the end of the season for the final provincial berth. I know The FVSL get's one or two more spots than us, but this is maybe an idea you guy's could bring up at the next league meeting. It might be to late for this year though!

Keep in mind WB, that there can be many many problems with a split league in the second half. If split into top 6 and bottom 6, are the bottom 6 completly elliminated from a chance at a BC spot from winning the league or coming in second. I say this because, 7th or 8th place team playing in the bottom 6, could go 5 and 0 in the second half, earning a full 15 points, to put them into top or second spot, do they get a BC berth.

A couple things here conductor, first, we are are just one division of 12 teams, yes, we should be two with the difference in levels of play, but we are just one div. of 12.

Second, we only get 3 spots too. VMSL gets 6 (they deserve them), VISL gets 4 (also deserved, based on last year), NSSL gets 3 (1 or 2 too many berths) they should be reduced to 2 for 2009, and the FVSL get 3 ( it should be at least 4) based on the results of the last 4 years.

So, we are back where we started, WhistleBlower is having a wee Kip, and the north shore gets too many spots.
What was the score tonight?

Delta 4- Mission 3. Mission almost squeezed out the tie in the end. I only made it for the second half. 2-0 Delta at half. Good back and forth game.

Watched this one from the sideline....score was a little closer than it should of been. 4-1 is probably the fairer scoreline. Mission battles hard all over the park. Delta with probably it's best effort of the year with a depleted line-up.

sikh united 1 Aldergrove 4

A well deseverved victory for the grove against a very depleted lineup of 11 to start and 12 to finish our game. It was 0-0 at half with the grove having all the pressure in the half. 10 min. into the second grove get a red card for too much yapping. For some reason we fell apart and they put in 3 goals before we broke their goose egg. Great game by the valley boys, I just wish our boys would have come out for such an important game.

Allblacks 6 - White Rock 0

WR kept it resonable in the first half but eventually wore down and the flood gates opened.

The only action for TLF was a Gameboy header that I had to tip wide. Nice of him to think of me like that. :bronco:

The team dressed up as whistle blower and RF of previous years at a halloween party  Game time came drunk and still in character hence the result. Should of dressed up as Barry and HOS would have been 15-0

HOS, based on last year's results in Master's I don't see a problem with the allocated break down of spots per league! This is last year's final 8
Game 9: Surrey Rangers vs Sapperton Rovers 1-0

Game 10: Van Treights vs Coveside FC

Game 11: Cliff Avenue United vs Columbus FC 1-5

Game 12: U Vic Alumni vs Westside FC 2-1
Surrey Rangers have been a power for a while now in the FVSL, but to argue that the whole league deserves 4, IMO i'm not sure if that's fair. Don't get me wrong, we are new to the NSCL and have heard that in their history most teams didn't do well in the sweet 16. But according to last year's stats, only Nordic lost by a bit of a one way score to Sapperton and it's safe to say Sapp would do the same to most FVSL teams. Viking's lost to Cliff Ave who were one of the top VMSL team's last year in OT. If anything the FVSL should go to a two tier league, as it 's not even close when the top play's the bottom in a game!

I think a quote from $$$MAN Maximus is more in line HOS. Victory is just a mere 90 minutes away, to some this seems like an eternity to others this is just a blink of an eye. Unleash Hell Geu leave no Ranger standing at the end of the game make this the longest 90 minutes of GEU triumph ever.

$$$MAN MAXIMUS

I have to coach my kids game in Vancouver at the same time today, so I will not be able to enjoy Geu's victory today. But I know I will get an update on the result.
