Sparta 2 - 2 RD
Great prediction whoever predicted our score. They went up 0-2 even though the play was pretty even. 2nd half we pretty much took over the game, it was great saves by goalies on both sides but their goalie was by far their All-Star. It wasn't for him it could have been 5/6 - 2. Pretty decent game. Feels like a win for us since we came back and tied it with 10 to go. Feels like a loss since we couldn't put the ball in the back of the net.

Probably our worst half in a long long long while. First 15, they come blitzing down our sides at will. We correct (overly!) then they come straight up the gut for another 10-15. Hold on for dear breath. Down 2-0 at half.
We come out really strong at start of second half, create chances but good goaltending by them. They get a red, totally unnecessary, their guy goes crazy after a 50/50 tackle which he got a foul on, then proceeds to say to say a few unkind words to our guy and spits on him. WTF?? Even the Abby guys were saying to me, what was he thinking?
Anyways, feeling good, usually a bad red like that comes to bite you in the ass but not this game. They sit 8 in the box, lots of crosses and blocked shots, a couple of really nice saves but we couldn't score. We were down but always have a great cooler afterwards which helps the soothes the wounds. Will be ready next time we play them

SAFC red bulls -2
Game started off very poorly for us and pretty good for red bulls. They carried the play for probably around 25 mins in the first half and netted a goal about 15 minutes in. They were the better team early on, but we picked it up with 20 to go in the half and had the better chances in the last bit, ended up scoring on a fast break making it 1-1 at half, both teams could have had more goals. Pretty clean first half, with only a little bit of chatter between players. Second half started red bulls came out flying and we were caught flat footed it seemd and they missed many chances hit a post or two and missed a couple of gimmie opportunities. About 70 mins in they got there second goal making it 2-1 a deserved lead as again they were taking it to us, we had a couple chances but nothing like them. Then once they scored it seemed to wake us up a bit and we again started evening the play out and getting some pretty good chances to tie the game. Unfortunately for the red bulls we were able to tie the game with about 2 mins left, off a lofted cross which our guy somehow got his head on it on a super tight angle. The game also had a couple smaller altercations in the second half but nothing too crazy our guy got a yellow for retaliating and pushing the red bull guy. Red bull guy got a yellow for a couple of late/ over aggressive challenges, all part of the game though. Happy we escaped with a tie and got a point, redbulls probably upset they couldn't manage to get 3. Our guys were tired only had 1 sub that we kept swaping guys in and out with which really killed our energy levels on the field. Onto the coyotes

Mission 1-1 Sparta
Both teams missing some key guys. Good back and fourth game. Both teams having plenty of chances, could have gone either way. Fun game to watch, and happy enough with the result considering last year they beat us 11-1 over two games.

2-2 Red bulls & West Coast. Chippy side over there. Going into every tackle like it’s their last. But all I’m good nature of the game we play. Good side over there. Lucky we didn’t finish on the chances we had.
