F.A. Cup

In the paper it shows that FOX Sports is showing a second round match between Mansfield Town and Wycombe Wanderers at 11:30 am on friday.
Not a high profile match, but Mark Rogers was on the team a few years ago when Wycombe had the great run through the FA Cup getting to the Semi's, I think.
Does anyone know if Mark is still with the team, his bro John plays for Blaze, so they might know. A few of us have played with Mark, he was with Burnaby Canadians before he went over to Wycombe.

Would watch the match if he is still playing.

Match of the Day.

How sweet is that, getting John Motson and our Trev right in your front room for Match of the Day. This must be something to do with the BBC and their deal with FA Cup game rights. I believe it is unheard of getting FA Cup games live or same day tape delay on regular TV here in BC.
Anyway, whoever pulled that off deserves a medal. Fukcing Brilliant. Southampton v. Newcastle with Motson and Brooking is like the Superbowl with Madden and Sommerall (sp?).

And just to put the icing on the cake, the Hammers move onto round four aswell.

Two more games tommorow - Aston Villa v. Man Utd & Leeds v. Arsenal both on the Box.

Happy New Year Lads

Don't forget about Yeovil Town and Liverpool, Crafty. Yeovil played some very nice football in the first half and were unlucky not to be up by one. On top of that, they're uniforms are magic. Liverpool squeaked through in the end. BTW, how the fcuk does someone who is 6' 9" play football. On top of that, he is from fcuking Portugal. After looking at his passing ability, he should probably give basketball a try.....

Yeovil Town

I played against Yeovil back in the summer of 95 with Wesburn when we were on a tour of Southwest England, what a cracker game, we went down 3-1 at half, but then battled back to beat the then Vauxall League club 5-3, a cracker match vs. a Yeovil team that had played against ManU in a pre-season match a week earlier. They did not have the 6'9" lad from Portugal, but they did play in the same stadium, a few fans came out to see it, and they have a first class club house that we went to after.

Fcukin tosser. Spewed in my soap dish. Then he shorted out my blow dryer. We were sill using them back then. I heard Yeovil wanted to sign you until I told them you liked to wank too much and that your hands were usually quite slippery.:D

You know what was so nice about that win CJ? The reaction of the Yeovil players when they found out they lost to a bunch of amateurs who weren't paid 1000 pounds a month and sometimes had to wear their uniform to the field because they had no change rooms.

I must admit, HOS played some of he best footy I have seen from a keeper in England. He had some people talking alright.

I have the pic of the boys in the tub after a game but I got some flack from a couple of the small wienered guys when I posted it two years ago.

It wasn't Man U they played a week prior but Liverpool. Liverpool dressed their full squad and won the game 11-0. Yeovil was not the best squad we faced. I would say Taunton was the toughest. You stood on your head that game and I feel that jet lag was definitely a good excuse. 2-1 win for Taunton if I recall. 8 games in 14 days.

I was two months ino an an ACL reconstruction but Wesburn took me on the trip anyway. It was an amazing trip with some amazing stories.

Yes, the best trips when you don't have to play. I did the same thing in May of 1988 with UBC. Team still took but no one wanted to room with for some reason. They complained about being woken up every night at 5:00 in the morning. We(they) played 4 games against Raith Rovers reserves, Leeds reserves, Carnegie College, and University College Dublin. Raith Rovers was the only loss, a tough 1 - 0 battle. I'm sure why I just posted that here but HOS's and Ballbaby's post brought back some memories....

Unlucky 'Boro on another 4th round exit from the FA Cup.

Fulham 2 Everton 1

Didn't see the game, don't really give a fukc, but if you are going to get drawn away in the Cup it helps if you're on your own doorstep.

Fulham v. West Ham

Hopefully a repeat performance of the 1975 final.

God bless Alan Taylor (Sparrow) wherever he is.

Cheers

Dazza,

Do you honestly believe that Fastshow is a plagiarist?

Or perhaps a better question would be, do you honestly believe that your assertion that Fastshow is a plagiarist would;

a) serve as a distraction from the fact that once again you have had the piss taken out of you?

or

b) be believed by anyone on this forum who isn't made out of felt?
