face the facts Knobby, you're getting on in years too

God, I remember this day too well

"2. They have no meaningful recollection of the Reagan Era and probably did not know he had ever been shot. "

what I had for lunch that day
what I was wearing
and watching the tv coverage in my classroom

Why, isn't that way before Coptune, and, I don't want to say the certain Moderator's name... BUT really, I don't think they were even thought of yet

:(

Reagan

I was in Mrs. Helton's class, grade 3, Glenayre Elementary. I believe it happened around 10:30 when the announcement came over the P.A. I could be wrong on the time.

I also, very clearly, remember telling my Dad how I was afraid of nuclear war. His response: “So am I."

Ahhhh

G-wiz, golly, gosh that's touching Dude. Do you still remember when he taught you about the birds and the bee's? It must have been rough when the dog ate the bird doll and your dad had to use two bee's to demonstrate.....

KNVB to cannot fathom not having a remote control!

Birds & bees

I do, in fact. I was 12, and it went like this:

“Take these (he passes me a pack of condoms). If you get a girl pregnant, I’ll kill you.”:D

He was a man of few words back then…

I've learnt something new today....

I didn't know Reagan had been shot, I must've been on a field trip on my own that day. I spent a lot of time on my own as a child, you see. I did know the yanks tend to enjoy shooting their presidents once they've elected them to the greatest democracy the world has ever known. It only seems fair.

I'm with KNVB on the Jordache shout but, then again, I'm only a nipper of 28 too. I'll bet Buckfast had a pair. As frayed cut-offs too.

McDonald's still comes in styrofoam over here. It's brilliant.

Fcuk the whales, trees, Sting, and the ozone layer, everything tastes better in styrofoam.

The list doesn't say that those born in 1984 would have grown up in a world in which girls have always played football, even on the same teams as boys.

I miss the good old days.

Sexist and pulluting, Fastshow.

Jabber Jaw

Jinky,

Also on my favourites was: Scrappy Doo and Jabber Jaw. It should be noted that Jabber Jaw is different from the show currently running on CNN by the name of "Jabir Jaw" - set in Kabul, it tells the story of a Rebel fighter who had his mouth wired shut for 10 years by the Taliban, but since the recent turn of events in that country, he has been set free and has not stopped talking since.
