That's not what he said at the AGM. It's ok Ted it's not the first time someone has bought a club in the Premier. After all the hard work that WAB has put in and all the money he has lost over the years I don't see a problem with a little cash thrown his way.

My remarks were towards WAB but I see you are getting defensive so I will stop. If you were the same club with WAB then it would be called Sapperton Rovers just like the masters team.

Will you still be playing out of Queens park or will the new club be playing out of Newton Athletic?

Really, we had a tested merge last year and it went well. I decided it was time to move on to try an executive position with the league, and so it was prudent for me to step aside U21 and Open Rovers United and Masters Sapperton Rovers. So now I have no control of any of the Rover teams.
Besides, it may all be a moot point if, in the next year or 2, all teams will have their bonds increased.

Ted and Umby always wanted to run their own team (and this was never a secret - they told me from day 1) and I was really happy that they showed great interest in Sapp. I felt good giving them the teams. They insisted I stay involved and I agreed.

I wish the club well and I will assist them whenever or however I can.
