Will we take the Gorge Lightly, Next Year

It's nice when you are the defending BC champs but all the VMSL teams are going into games with all kinds of confidence.

Mabey next year teams from Vancouver will go into games with the Island teams with a little less confidence.

Cheers to Gorge on the repeat performance from the toughest Provincial Cup in the Country.

Hope they can get to the final this year again, but come back with the Canadian Trophy.

Well done to the Burnaby Canadians Womens team on their repeat win in the Womens Cup.
Any room on the plane for a washed up assistant coach with some Canadians coaching experience?
Screech and Black Horse would be pretty nice back east.

Besty, don't worry about the picture, at least you have played in games where you can get your picture taken, CDK and the boys are still taking pictures of each other in thier back yards wearing there Croat shirts. Guys you have to get to the show to get your picture in the paper.

It was a beautiful afternoon for footba... Pints went down well up on the side hill Both games were tight checking affairs in which either team could have won...
A good battle between arch rivals Burnaby and Surrey with sentimental favourite (from both sides of the bridge) KJ scoring a cracker of a free kick... Burnaby keeper was the difference on the day taking full control of anything and everything that came in her box!!! Unrucky girls... good night out though
Gorge were full value for their repeat performance... they seemed to want it more than a rusty and shaky Westside squad... Simon was a non-factor!!! He was the reason they got into the final, but unfortunately appeared uninterested... That or he was still shagged from the semi??? Regardless, Gorge won the majority of the 50/50's and kept their legs going for 90 minutes... It was a battle out there and every player had to fight for anything they got...
Looking forward to beating Vic United (mostly Gorge players) in the PCSL

Thanks for posting it. Too bad, the photographer didn't manage to get it when Besty had his finger point right in his face, millimetres from his nose while he was still on the ground. Lovely stuff, Besty.
