Surrey scores 37 seconds in. They hadn't even finished announcing our names. Gorge dominates rest of 1st half. Gorge scores in the 2nd half early on. 2nd half is fairly even. Gorge scores in 1st OT. Exciting game, but I believe that Gorge was the better team...

Has the game times and fields been set? More specifically, where and when is the Gorge - AFC game?
Referee was very tight with his calls last night. In that sort of highly charged atmosphere, people will always be angry at the referee - however, as a player in the game (who had his own share of arguments with the ref) overall he was fine. We are just not used to playing such a tight game on...
Once Treights scored in OT (early) they collapsed and it was a power play for the rest of the game. Hats off to them for battling with 10 men. Gorge tied it up with 7 minutes to go. Treights clear a game winning header off the line - trhen ref calls the game - penos. Tough way to lose...

The first half had both teams bitching at the referee more than playing. Both teams had chances with the only goal coming from that questionable called PK. Teacher bangs it in off the crossbar (on purpose)
Second half, Gorge took over - could have had a few more goals. Tunes...
Sharky or Snork or Falcon Crest - he runs fast and will be no fun. The Treights with or without their bus will win their first rounder for sure.
Incidently - the Green bus is for Daffodil pickers and Lanterns. The short bus is for retards.
It would have been nice to be able to get off the island sometime in the first 2 rounds... don't think that will happen. We were looking forward to a roadie.

Vantreights scored 3 nice goals. Westside was very adept at hitting everything but the net. Westside goalie seems to be a poser and he heard about it from the Vantreights fans.

We welcome teams to the island. Enjoy the ferry, the food, the multi-million dollar floor renos (and the VIP lounge). Hey, it could be worse - we travelled to Salt Spring twice this year; there's something about the air there....

While SJ finished higher, Forseberg is too good in the playoffs; throw in a Sakic and Hejduk (among others), and they are too strong. San Jose will get in a couple licks at home, but Colorado in 6
Gorge remains.
Pegasus deserved the win over GH. However, GH did do well despite having a player in goal (ie: penalty kick save).
Gorge is the only island team left (as per usual) - we look forward to a road trip.

Losing isn't great, but not scoring reeks. Norvan is a good team, and they are like most of the teams in this league - good talent and pretty clean / fair. Because this league is full of these "good" teams, the game is still fun. The reffing is very good (despite the no linesmen).
