coastal 1-4 bb5 men against boys. Those snowflakes from coastal needed their mommies thought they were good. It was only 16 minute game. Got taught a lesson. Absolute garbage team. What’s all this hype about and how is this team second they suck balls. If it was 90 minutes the game would’ve been 20-1. Bb5 doesn’t hold back.
I mean what can u expect from a team that finessed the whole system and gets a prem spot somehow when others have to start from the bottom. You wanna play with the big dogs that’s what happens. I think putting 11 guys over the age of 65 could’ve held it down better in 16 minutes then those snowflakes did.

Friday Results
Standings
VUFC firmly in hold of 2nd place in the table. While mathematically can catch BB5 United, with only 2 matches left in their schedule, pretty sure BB5 will hold them off with their own 5 matches remaining.
Spots 3-5 seemed locked in with Chinter, Coastal, and MetroFord just battling for placement. Sapperton and the Croats could get there, but again, would need one of the teams above them to completely bottle it in the remaining 2 to 3 matches each have left.

Another really good game last night at NAP.
Hurricanes go up 2-0 in the first 45 to then let Croatia back in the match in the 2nd half.
Harp netting the winner with about 10 or so to go?
How does it work again Regs for VMSL this year?
Top 5 go plus Imperial winner?

Honestly don't know, I can never remember... I always thought the spots went to the 2 Imperial Cup finalist and then Top 4 League... and if 1 or both Imperial finalists finish top 4, spots go to 5th/6th spot in League.Another really good game last night at NAP.

@Regs you are correct.
It used to be the 4 imperial semifinalists, but premier teams whined and got it changed to just finalists after a div1 team qualified for Provincials.
I think it's probably fair to reward full season of consistency over a cup run. And I think vmsl used to have as many as 8 spots when 4 from imperial were qualifying

OK, I'm sorry but this is 100% fcuked up...
Apparently VUFC have opted out of the BCs (even though they have already mathematically qualified). I really can't figure out the reasoning for this? Anyone know? @dezza @Canucks4Ever

@Rangerforever I think that is good news for Sapperton who by my math are now in position to qualify for BCs and don't need to beat BB5 Friday nor get help with other results.

Not sure if this has been formally confirmed yet - although I *think* they were listed on the VMSL home page as having qualified and now are not.
Intel that I got was that it was "not a good time of year" for them with exams and BCL1 prep. Plus they would not go to Nationals if they did win as it is during their USports season.
Can't say I like the look of it either (same with Whitecaps not entering in the FVSL), but you cannot force a team to compete.
Given the league standings and the Imperial semis five of the six VMSL berths are confirmed:
BB5
Coastal
Metro Ford
Chinter
Rovers
Last spot is between West Van and Croatia. West Van are IN if they can get a win in the Imperial semis over BB5. Otherwise it will be a race to the finish for seventh in the table with the teams currently level on points. West Van with 3 games to play, Croatia with 2 to go...
