Vancouver Whitecaps v Montreal Impact – A Cup Final Story In Pictures

The curse has finally been broken.

Beating the Impact is always a nice feeling. Beating them to lift the Whitecaps first ever Voyageurs Cup is twice as nice.

It was 2-0 on the night, 4-2 on aggregate, but this was a game in which Vancouver were in control from the kick off. A goal in each half from Octavio Rivero and Tim Parker saw the ‘Caps home, sparking off ecstatic scenes of celebration at BC Place.

AFTN photographer Tom Ewasiuk was there to capture all the action before, during and after the game and here’s his “Story In Pictures”, with a full Flickr slideshow at the end.

[Also check out Tom’s website www.residualimagephotography.com for more of his photos and work].
