All that work and you don't make any predictions?

The only one I care about is the Associates vs. Brittania. For some reason I'm a little freaked about this one. Brittania is tenth in Div. 4 and have nothing to lose. Those are the worst teams to play against.:(

Oh, I hope the Lions shite the bed.:D

Sorry TR, way to much typing;)

Fury will surprise, and destroy Dominion Cat
Hotspurs will have no problem with Old Haney( yeah right, the only reason the spurs are this far is because of a first round bye)
The Tigers will fall to the PM Lions
The ASSociates will move on...to the golf cource.

Hows that for preditions? ;) :D

re: round 1 scores

Thanxs Argyle.
Glad to see the Delta team doing well. Little Doug is playing well.

PAU Selects, something to show for the late improvement on their game.

Sikh United...??? Who will explain this one?

Old Haney vs Sikh United

It's very hard to win games with only 10 players (one guy out of the 10 was also injured). The Sikhs played a man short for the first 30 min. Still no excuse, Old Haney deserved the win. Once again the Sikhs don't take the cup games serious enough.

Bottom line is PoCo City is the favored club to win the cup. Whether it be Cat, or div 2. GEU just don't cut it sorry. Better luck next year!

well said tupac...the poco city club has had the best season by far in the fraser valley league. It is now time to step it up and take the title. My vote goes to the fury though as they will upset the cat team this weekend.:p

No chance.

Poco Cat to win this one. Two reasons:

1. Experience
2. Motivation

The Cat players have more of both. Fury winning will be a well earned upset.

Depends ON Roster...

Poco Cat to win this one.

I don't know what type of roster they are fielding. They have a very strong veteran squad (Cat team) though I'd like to know how they distributed their semi-combined Premier/Cat Roster. As a organization (Poco) that takes perfect advantage of a Cat system during the regular season, did they leave enough in the tank for the Cat team to have a shot? or are they like our Langley system where there are basically 2 separate teams and the Cat team sends a couple guys each game to play in the premier games so when cup time comes around "we have ours, they have theirs etc..."

Maybe they have left themselves a great roster but I haven't seen it yet or heard from anyone in their organiztion as to how they divide up their players for cup play. I don't believe the Fury is a better team, but their motivation should be as strong being the "underdogs". Poco Cat should have a shot one of the final spots providing they get past this round.

Personally, having seen the majority of the div 2 teams play, I don't think the standings reflect the caliber of the teams. To be honest, I think both the poco teams are pretty overrated. Expect either North Delta or Peace Arch to make a suprise run at it from the div 2 teams, but as far as the cat teams go, definitely gonna be one of the top 3.

PS. Lions will win:D

Whalley D3 vs. Langley Lions Cat

Langley 2 - Whalley 1

Langley dominated most of the game with great breakouts and fast ball movement. Whalley battled hard and had 3-4 chances that should have been goals (And should NOT have been chances, but some breakdowns on our backline cost us). Langley had 7-8 shots but failed to get anything quality on net. Our biggest problem was finish around the net.... lots of loose balls that didnt get burried and some poor free kicks that didnt find anyone OR the back of the net. Whalley scored 1st on a good effort. We countered that goal with a goal from our Right Midfielder. The game went to the second extra time and we were about 6 minuted from PK's when our big striker finally netted a header from a great cross. We had all the chances in the extra time and I had the chances scored 9-4 in favor of our lads however a Whalley shot was stopped by one of our defenders right on the goal line, don't know how it stayed out but it's going to be in that whalley shooters nightmares tonight. On to our next match, I believe the winner of Geu Tigers D2 and Port Moody Lions (Probably the Tigers but I haven't heard the scores yet..)

Cheers.
Any other results in yet?
