We are renovating and getting a new gas fireplace.
Anyone know a place, a guy, or bought one recently?
how many btu's, ceramic vs tempered glass...blah, blah....looking middle(slightly lower) of the road price range. I've been in a couple shops in Langley.

Cheers,

I bought one from BC Fireplace Co, which just opened a showroom in Queensborough. They have good prices. They also do service work in case something happens in the future.

Fireplaces UNlimited is a good option as well. They are quite competative.

the BTU range for you should depend on a coupple of factors. I would say 30-50k BTU for a 2500sqft +. Also, there is the direct vent or what they call a b-vent. the direct vent is userd for newer homes that are sealed and the b-vent is for older homes. Ask alot of questions and make sure they break out the cost for all components, even permits and install, as some people build in extra margin on that type of stuff to stiff the consumer....

good luck

PS: a great brand to go with is Enviro, or Regency
