Houston, we have a problem with the results....

Hello guys,
I was going over the results of the league. Every division has at least one massive disparity on results:
PREMIER
West Van 5 - Rinos 1; Pegasus 8 - Rinos 1

DIVISION 1
Westside 7 - Rinos 1; Romania 7 - Shaheen 1; Columbus 6 - Westside 0; Shaheen 5 - Royals 1
Guildfor 5 - Akal 0.

DIVISION 2
Tanoa 6 - Punjab 1; Squamish 7 - GFC 2


DIVISION 3
Not even going to mention the teams and scores as we have several one with 11-0; 9-1, 8-2, etc.
The three sections have one or two teams with goal differentials of 19/18 to 2/1.

Is the VMSL always like this? I seriously thought that I was looking at another sport type of results.
I was checking the Burnaby results and they can become even more of a horror story. (i.e. Roma 18 - Real Burnaby 0)?!?!

Any thoughts?

This is amateur soccer...one should expect the results to manifest like this in the sub-prem divisions. Half of div 1 is probably hanging on to a core group of around 5 quality players imo...

...and then you have a team that is clearly out of its league. chemistry is crucial especially after merging clubs

Maybe the reason is that is just amateur soccer or maybe not. Are the discrepancies in other amateur sports so pronounced? Is it the same in other regions of the world? Perhaps is something that the VMSL could look into. My sense is that certain things could be done to keep the teams more aligned.

Why there are sometimes blowouts in the VMSL lower divisions:

Coach, 5 of us are in a company golf tournament this weekend.
Damn, I forgot there was no 9:30 ferry on Sundays.
My girl friend moved to Kamloops and now I have to go up there every weekend.
You mean the VMSL plays games on Thanksgiving weekend, WTF!
If I take another weekend off to play soccer my wife will kill me.
Dude, last night's party was so awesome, I'm still ripped.
