No threats whatsoever but I guess he felt scared? Not single threat was laid from where I was and I was right by all the supporters. Coaches did tell supporters to leave as well cause ref was ruining the game but the supporters did not leave. If they do questioned about threats, I'm sure alot of neutrals there gave their info to confirm that no threat was made to the ref at all.
In regards to time being left. He had 8 mins of injury time for some weird reason as there was no stoppages. Game was in the 93rd minute, 5 mins left. Both teams did want to finish the game out but he said if people didn't get into their cars and leave the park, he would not continue it

So what you are saying is that he'd asked the supporters from one team to leave? I assume SFC's? And he had no reason to feel threatened?

@whistle blower felt he had to because Kyle seemed scared which makes no sense because there were no supporters trying to come after him. I was there having beers and didn't see any of that.
So he abandoned a match, and was escorted to the parking lot, but he didn't need to be, because there were no threats?
And he's racist because he made calls not in favour of SFC?

When i arrived The Ref and his assistance was standing in the middle of the field. The only reason i escorted the ref to the car is because i wanted to witness if there was any bad behavior by players coaches or fans towards the ref which there was none, and their was a lot people still standing around.
Still all very weird and one gets the impression there is yet another side to the story to come out.
He abandoned. I haven't been involved in too many abandonments but when I have the match and players were out of control.
So...I can totally envision that official making questionable calls to cause a match to get out of control, but still, if the supporters and / or players didn't make any threats, why would he abandon?
Anyhow, weird, and too bad. Sounds like a great match has been overshadowed.

For the record.... No threats made against the ref nor would that be tolerated by the club. The supporters were calling him urkel and heckling him for his bad calls. He knew he was gonna get heckled by the sideline as he left the pitch and the supporters have Evey right to tell him he ruined a great game. No supporter of temple was going to touch him... We ain't 20 yr olds. Whistle blower went to see him and he needed someone to hold his hand and give him a pat on the back for ruining the game for ND and Temple.
ND and Temple did not deserve a shite ref to be out there. Martin should have been in the middle of the park and this guy should have gone back to his shrink to talk about his issues. I think he was bullied as a kid and he lashes out trying to exert his authority.

Any news on when the game is being played/finished?
I'm not sure how Williams continues to get top games or frankly any ND games.
I haven't heard anything. Spoke to a SFC guy earlier and there was supposed to be a decision soon.
Has Williams done or favored ND in other instances?
We had a player sent off twice against them this year with him reffing, lets say decisions are favourable one way...though i have to say even the ND guys are baffled by many of his decisions.

Dedicated referee, Kyle Williams (North Vancouver) has been awarded the Adult Official of the Year for his work refereeing in the Fraser Valley Soccer League. “Kyle has been a referee in the FVSL for over 15 years and has developed into one of our best, this past season he was in the middle for the Pacific Cup Final, a tournament between the Vancouver Island and Fraser Valley and had a terrific season handling many Premier games and Pakenham Cup Semi Finals.”
I was thinking the exact same thing. Any high level game, at all, should be out of the question for him. I was thinking MAYBE he can do the U21 level, but certainly no higher. He is that bad.
Is this the same Kyle Williams who was 4th string Goalie for the Port Moody High School Soccer team ( Mid 90's)? Good team player though. It doesn't surprise me to here this. Felt Bad for the kid back then. I recall he got picked on alot back then both in school and Sport. Very Quiet and reserved what I remember. I'm Sure he has a list. A list you dont want to be on if you know what I mean. Dont think he is racist Just think he hates pretty much everyone.
No idea, Polska...but in my experience in dealing with him, I found that he wasn't able to communicate nearly as effectively as, say, Martin, or Whistleblower, or most of the guys. The one exception being that Macedonian guy (the bald guy), and I'd only had him once or twice. That guy was completely unreasonable, a true nutter. Kyle...just a different guy, not very approachable, and honestly, I don't care, as long as he can do a reasonable job. Kyle has been in the middle of far too many shite shows like has been described in this game.

Same Kyle. Guys just think we should be a bit careful here. We want refs and we can be constructively critical. But not sure I'd like a forum criticizing me on my job performance and starting to be a character attack. Dude I've been a part of games just like you have that mirror this report with him and by know means does he favor Delta or anything close to it. He refs with his emotions and they can get the best of him and cloud decisions. Not sure what the league can really do other then continue to work with him as I've seen him do really good games as well.
