The squad for the MNT has been released for a game against Jamaica. Why are there no player's on the squad from BC?
It used to be half Ontario and half BC with the odd Quebec player getting a chance.
Have we gone back this far?
Who is responsible for this?
What is happenning with BC Soccer and their development of local player's?
Is anyone accountable from our Provincial Body?

I blame it on the university/college programs... once kids get there, all development seems to stop.

Once the BCSA got into bed with the Caps, the end game isn't about developing towards the National program IMHO.

But we haven't qualified for the WC since 86 - perhaps it was the BC half holding us back all these years

Besides, half the 'delegation' is from BC I think:

Once the BCSA got into bed with the Caps, the end game isn't about developing towards the National program IMHO.

If the end game is developing towards professional teams, this will only benefit the MNT long term, anyhow.

Yes and no.

But if that is truly the case then any questioning of the BCSA is misplaced and must be directed at the Caps.

How many of the residency players are from BC? Anyone know?

Besides all that, in terms of the Jamaica game, I think it's a bit exciting to see all the new faces getting a chance (and get capped) - it's what the MNT needs and is long overdue.

Regs almost all the players are from BC. Only few guys come from other places. There is also few guys from other clubs on loan with resedancy kids. They are fit young guys working very hard. Some parts of the game are lacking. Collin will change few things in that program. Width to their game does not exist. Always running makes them turn the ball over almost every fifth pass. Lack of size is my consen. Kids need to be way bigger to play in the upper side. You can get away with one or two but not with seven or eight guys.
