Allan Houston proclaimed he was the best at what he does, signing a 6-year deal for $100 million fcuking dollars.

Ummm, ok.

Apparently he was the 6th best point getter for the 2-guard and from what I gather, that's what he's supposed to do... shoot the ball. WTF?.

The Knicks are going to trade Latrell Sprewell for a center or at least someone who can do some damage in the paint. With Glen Rice, Spree and Houston, there is a massive logjam at the 2 and 3 positions, and simply not enough touches for all three to put up big numbers. Thus, Houston's relatively low scoring average. I gather that the massive contract given to Allan is a sign that he is the New York #1 choice for the perimeter over Spree and Rice, with either or both likely to be gone by the time the season starts. Assuming this goes down, Houston should be up to about 22-25 ppg come next season. Still not really worth the massive contract, but a sign that he is the go-to guy on the Knicks.

That is all.

Bird?

Wasn't Larry Bird part of the '79 draft too?

Gotta be '84 though. You've got a complete team.

84 Draft

I have to agree with Kurgan on the class of 84 as being the strongest.I guess Portlands GM didnt last that long after taking Sam Bowie before all the studs in that draft. It was even worse than when the Grizz drafted Big Country 6th overall in 95.Albeit the top 5 that year have turned into nice players.
