This week sees the work-permits being granted/cleared for Johnny Leveron and Paulo Jr.

Carlyle Mitchell has been loaned out for the season to NASL side Edmonton FC.

Glad Leveron has been passed through, with JD going out and Rusin looking a little lost and/distracted at times we certainly need the cover. I am surprised to see Mitchell being loaned out, if any of O'Brien, Rusin, or Leveron comes up lame we will be instantly having to rely on Rochat at CB again...

From what I saw of Mitchell last year loaning him out to a team we have to beat in the Canadian Championship is a pretty smart move. If only we could loan him out to Seattle and Portland when we play them we may win that supporter cup thing, you know that cup the league has successfully stolen the naming rights for.

I wonder if the caps get cap relief for Demerit Being injured because 350,000 could get you a pretty decent spare centre back.

Caps just signed an NCAA CB, saw it on twitter- name was Adam Clement. He supposedly came to them as a supplemental draft pick.

I haven't heard anything (not that I've looked) but I would assume Demerit's cap hit is freed up for the year?

@Regs - No, Demerit's cap hit remains. They can "injury list him" which opens up his roster spot but his salary remains on the cap. I guess this is to make sure no one lists an non-injured player as injured to save cap space - makes sense because you know someone would do that!

So, when Koevermans was inured last year, TFC could take Hassli as DP because the DP spot was open, but the ~$300K portion of his salary that counts against the cap had to fit in the remaining space they had?

Isn't Andrew Fink at Surrey United now? Why hasn't he continued playing professionally? School? He was on the roster for a while as third string prior to Simon Thomas IIRC, and I know he was at TWU.

I was hoping that KNighton would be an upgrade over Joe, but I think he's even worse. He's positionally inept. Cannon is old, broken, and done, does not want any part of going in for 50/50 air challenges. Picard needs a back-up this winter, I think we'll approach him, let him know it's time for Masters, and we do have a fantastic bar-b-q culture.
