I've never been told "BCPL is bunk" by the CCB, but I've never been told "Hooray, BCPL is great; move your kids there", either. Well, not until last week at least. As of today, I have no idea what the club's new message is.

Some elite CCB teams voluntarily decided to remain at metro level because of (1) loyalty to their teammates, coach, and club, and (2) who wants to pay $2K/yr to beat the same teams that they already dominated at metro level?
The existing franchises get to vote on where new franchises pop up, and there's no way that Semi or Surrey U would allow a new franchise near their territory.
There's no worries in math. It's as simple as "get good grades or you don't get to play soccer".
If my kids' Surrey school quadrupled their fees and then decided to merge with an Abbotsford school and force me to drive them out there twice a week for math classes, THEN I'd worry about math.
I'm not sure if this explanation is accurate, but I'm told that my daughter's 1999 team was prevented from playing up a year in this weekend's Coquitlam tournament because of protests by Semiahmoo's HPL team (who wanted to look good by playing a year up too).
This disappoints me but isn't...
