Canada Soccer revealed on Wednesday the full men's national team roster that will convene in Vancouver next week for a friendly against Iran, as well as Concacaf Nations League ties against Curaçao and Honduras. Head coach John Herdman named a full-strength 25-man squad for this important camp, headlined by Bayern Munich star Alphonso Davies, Lille striker Jonathan David, and veteran Besiktas midfielder Atiba Hutchinson, among the majority of the core contributors from the recent World Cup qualification run. Also included in the group is Los Angeles FC’s Raheem Edwards, making his first appearance with the national team since 2017, as well as newcomer Luca Koleosho of Spanish side RCD Espanyol. This trio of international matches will serve as valuable preparation for Herdman and his players, as they gear up for the 2022 World Cup, which kicks off in November in Qatar. Canada's match against Iran, the 21st-ranked men's side in the world, will take place on Sunday, June 5 at Vancouver's BC Place, kicking off at 4 p.m. PT (7 p.m. ET). Canada will then open their campaign in Group C of the Nations League against Curaçao on Thursday, June 9, also at BC Place (7:30 p.m. PT/10:30 p.m. ET). Finally, Les Rouges will travel to San Pedro Sula to play Honduras in another Nations League fixture on Monday, June 13 (7 p.m. PT/10 p.m. ET) to wrap up this international window.
