FC Edmonton, Forge FC, and Valour FC will soon learn who the winner of the CPL’s CONCACAF League qualifying will face this July. Officials are set to draw the 2019 CONCACAF League on Thursday at 8:00 p.m. ET from Guatemala City, Guatemala. CPL's spot, known as "Canada 2," will be drawn as one of the 12 teams in the preliminary round. In Pot 2, set to be drawn against a side in Pot 1, the CPL's representing club will be pitted against either Santa Tecla FC (SLV), CD Marathon (HON), AS Capoise (HAI), Deportivo Saprissa (CRC), an undetermined Guatemalan team, or an undetermined Panamanian team in the first round. Pots 3 and 4 will contain the ten clubs who have already qualified for the round of 16 and the six winners of the six preliminary round matchups. Six teams from the CONCACAF League will qualify for the CONCACAF Champions League.
CPL CONCACAF League qualifying update

FC Edmonton, Forge, and Valour are currently halfway through the six-match qualification process to decide which club will grab the aforementioned "Canada 2" spot. Forge's 2-0 win over FC Edmonton put them three points clear of their Albertan opponents through the first three of six matches played between the sides in the Spring season. The Eddies will have a chance to draw level on points with Bobby Smyrniotis' Forge side when they host Valour on Saturday (6:30 p.m. ET, 4:30 p.m. MT/OneSoccer). The final match of CPL's CONCACAF League qualifying process will take place on June 26, in the return leg of Wednesday's match, when FC Edmonton hosts Forge (9:00 p.m. ET, 7:00 p.m. MT/OneSoccer).
