On Friday , Vancouver FC released the club’s primary kit for its second season in the Canadian Premier League. Called 'the Eagle Kit', the jersey highlights Vancouver’s official mascot, Sp’óq’es the Bald Eagle, and is a nod to VFC’s nickname, The Eagles. "We are very excited to unveil VFC’s primary kit for the 2024 season,” said Stephanie Wood, Vice President of Marketing & Brand Development, Vancouver FC. “This kit is powerful to us because it is the embodiment of our inspiration, the Bald Eagle, and the qualities of respect, honour, strength, courage, and wisdom that we have founded this club around.” Vancouver’s Eagle Kit features the club’s primary colours with an all-black base and accentuating red elements, including the VFC crest and the Hero Logo for Macron, the CPL’s official kit provider. CIBC continues its commitment to the club as the front-of-jersey sponsor for the second consecutive year, alongside Carlsberg, which is once again featured on VFC’s sleeve.

“The Eagle Kit is named adequately for the exquisite feathered cape design that drapes down the back of jerseys,” said Wood. “It is a subtle but essential part of the jersey that reminds us to be grounded in our roots and the foundations of what we built this club around.” Along with the feathered cape, Vancouver’s Eagle Kit includes the club’s motto, Something in the Air, inscribed on the back of the jersey, again paying homage to the founding principles of VFC. “The Eagle is a respected and honoured creator that was bestowed to our club by the Kwantlen Nation with our mascot bearing the name gifted to it, Sp’óq’es,” said Wood. “We are representing our communities with the Eagle Kit this season and are committed to upholding the qualities of the Bald Eagle both on and off the field.”

Vancouver’s brand new Eagle Kit will debut on Saturday, Mar. 16, 2024 in a friendly match against B.C.-rivals Pacific FC. The pre-season friendly will be played in Nanaimo, B.C. The Eagle Kit is now available for purchase online here.
