The first official FIFA window of 2024 opens next week, and once again several Canadian Premier League players will have the chance to represent their nations in important matches. Doing so on three separate continents, CPLers are set to play in some incredibly important qualifying matches for many of the biggest tournaments in world football. Here are the seven players who have been called up by their respective national teams for the March window:

Gabriel Bitar (Vancouver FC/Lebanon)

After appearing for Lebanon at the AFC Asian Cup in January, Vancouver FC's Gabriel Bitar is back with the Cedars for a pair of crucial World Cup qualifiers. The 25-year-old has appeared five times for the Lebanon national team since making his debut in 2022. On Thursday, March 21 and Tuesday, March 26, Lebanon play twice against Australia in a pair of 2026 World Cup qualifying second-round matches. Both fixtures will be played in Australia, with the second match in Canberra serving as Lebanon's home match. Lebanon currently sit second in Group I, which also includes Palestine and Bangladesh, with two points from two games played. The top two teams from each group will advance to the next round of World Cup qualifying. Australia top the group with a perfect six points so far.

Dennis Salanović (York United/Liechtenstein)

One of York United's new signings this off-season, Dennis Salanović has been a mainstay with the Liechtenstein national team since 2014. He has four goals in 58 caps for his country. The 28-year-old will be looking to earn two more as his national team play a pair of UEFA friendlies against the Faroe Islands and Latvia on March 22 and 26 respectively. Liechtenstein are winless in their last 35 matches, and will be looking to pick up their first win since they defeated Luxembourg 2-1 in October 2020.

Reon Moore and Andre Rampersad (Pacific FC, Halifax Wanderers/Trinidad and Tobago)

A pair of Canadian Premier League players will be going head-to-head with the country where they play their club football. Pacific FC's Reon Moore and Halifax Wanderers captain Andre Rampersad have been called up by Trinidad and Tobago for a 2024 Copa América play-in match against Canada on Saturday, March 23. Rampersad has one goal in five matches for the Soca Warriors, while Moore has been prolific of late, with four goals in 2023 for Trinidad, and eight in 25 caps overall.

Matthew Baldisimo (York United /Philippines)

After appearing for Canada at the youth level, the 26-year-old York United midfielder has accepted his first senior international call-up for the Philippines national team. Along with his brother Michael, who plays for the San Jose Earthquakes in Major League Soccer, Baldisimo will join the squad for a pair of 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Iraq in AFC qualifying second round. Phillippines, who are in Group F, have a draw and a loss after their first two matches against Vietnam and Indonesia and sit third. Iraq, meanwhile, are 2-0-0 and top the group.

Cédric Toussaint and Garven Metusala (Pacific FC, Forge FC/Haiti)

Another CPL player who could make his international debut over the next few weeks is 22-year-old Pacific FC midfielder Cédric Toussaint. Toussaint was called up by Haiti for a friendly on Saturday, March 23 against French Guiana, which will be played in Cayenne, French Guiana. The Pacific player will be joined by 24-year-old Forge FC defender Garven Metusala, who has played four times for Haiti since making his debut in 2022.
