What are your top ten 80's tunes. Simply put your list down so we can compare, contrast, and laugh at you while you laugh at us.

In no particular order:

  1. I Ran - Flock of Seagulls
  2. Let's go all the way - Sly Fox
  3. Life in a Northern Town - Dream Acadamy
  4. Aces High - Iron Maiden
  5. The Price - Twisted Sister
  6. Relax - Frankie Goes To Hollywood
  7. Footloose - Kenny Loggins
  8. Slick Black Cadalac - Quiet Riot
  9. Round and Round - Ratt
  10. Defenders of the Faith - Judas Priest
In the 80's, TheRob was a bit of a "rocker". Out of all those songs(and there are sooooo many more)to this day I still have Aces High, and Life in a Northern Town on mixed CD's. 80's music is timeless.:D

Take the piss all you like, but when your done, don't forget to put your list down.;)

merde.......

Ten votes in the poll yet only four posts. And Max Blink is disqualified as New Order's Regret was not an '80's track. I checked my wallcharts.

The Rob, the moderate the and the get the more the people the to the post.

Poor.

New Order
Regret

Maybe I've forgotten the name and the address
Of everyone I've ever known
It's nothing I regret
Save it for another day
It's the school exam and the kids have run away

I would like a place I could call my own
Have a conversation on the telephone
Wake up every day that would be a start
I would not complain of my wounded heart

I was upset you see
Almost all the time
You used to be a stranger
Now you are mine

I wouldn't even trust you
I've not got much to give
We're dealing in the limits
And we don't know who with
You may think that I'm out of hand
That I'm naive, I'll understand
On this occasion, it's not true
Look at me, I'm not you

I would like a place I could call my own
Have a conversation on the telephone
Wake up every day that would be a start
I would not complain of my wounded heart

I was a short fuse
Burning all the time
You were a complete stranger
Now you are mine

I would like a place I could call my own
Have a conversation on the telephone
Wake up every day that would be a start
I would not complain about my wounded heart

Just wait till tomorrow
I guess that's what they all say
Just before they fall apart

..........

Offside you nipple. And for the last time, go down the library and find a book on the subject as I've told you I cannot possibly help you and Mrs. The Rob produce a child. Your envy of little Jackson KNVB is getting out of hand, you know.

I'm worried about your feelings, sort yourself out.

I'll be ok.

Allow me to do another list.

Again, in no particular order:

  1. Men Without Hats - Safety Dance
  2. Pete Townsend - A friend is a Friend
  3. Simple Minds - Don't you forget about me
  4. Chilliwack - What you gonna do when I'm gone
  5. Loverboy - Notorious(anything by Loverboy really)
  6. The Theme to Top Gun
  7. Duran Duran - Cracks in the Pavement(anything on Seven and the Ragged Tiger for that matter)
  8. Herbie Hancokc - Rock It
  9. U2 - Red Hill Mining Town
  10. Billy Idol - Flesh for Fantasy
And as an extra bonus, TheRob's favorite 80's album was easily(drum roll please)And Justice for All - Metallica. Was there a better album during that decade? Seven and the Ragged Tiger comes close, but personally I don't think so.

    More lists people!

Is this list for the 80's songs we like now or the ones we liked then? They are vastly different.

Criteria! I need criteria!

  • Huey Lewis & the News - The Heart of Rock & Roll
  • AC-DC - Back in Black (the whole album)
  • Doug & the Slugs - Love Shines
  • Aha - Take On Me
  • Frankie Goes to Hollywood - Relax
  • Gowan - Strange Animal
  • Gino Vannelli - Black Cars
  • Depeche Mode - People Are People
  • Georgia Satelites - Keep Your Hands to Yourself
  • Robert Palmer - Addicted to Love
  • Simple Minds - Alive and Kicking
  • Van Halen - (3-way tie) Panama, Hot For Teacher & I'll Wait
And others I couldn't forget:
  • Mr. Mister - Kyrie
  • Clarence Carter - Strokin'
  • INXS - New Sensation
  • Young MC - Bust a Move
  • Tower of Power - Don't Change Horses
Ahh, the good ol' days . . .
