Who will win the Golden Boot at the World Cup in Germany?

I will go with Michael Owen (sentimental choice) followed closely by Henry and Adriano.

I'm sure many people would agree that Schevchenko is the best at the World Cup. He's also the best striker whose team won't make it out of the first round.

I've changed my mind. I'll take Peter Crouch to win the Golden Boot!

Let's add a qualifier to this poll. If you vote for 'someone else' make a quick post as to who and why, please. For example:

Emmanuel Sheyi Adebayor,
Has to be.
You heard it here first!

Forza Togo!!!

This will give your mates, however unlikely it is that you actually have any, a chance to pisstake. For example:

This coming from a guy who couldn't even score
at Gogo Togo!

Allright?

I'll have to go with Pauleta. He scores most of the goals for Portugal and this year passed Eusebio ("The Black Pearl") for most career goals scored with the national team.

Cheers,

And if Pauleta plays like he did in Euro 2004 you guys are in trouble. I would go with Nuno Gomes up front if I were Scolari.

It'll probably be tubby from Brazil again winning it. If Italy goes far then maybe Toni.

Surprisingly, Van Nistelrooy is leading the poll so far. Even after having a shite end to his club season. And no one has taken Klose from Germany. Didn't he score something like five headed goals during the last WC? Headed goals rock! Bring on the Berlin Bomber!

There is still time to get your vote in. And I even screwed up and left the poll open until after Germany's game is over. Which means Klose could have three goals by then. The guy scored 25 goals in 26 games in last season's Bundesliga and no one has picked him! I'd take him but I'm already backing Robo-crouch.

I am gonna say Michael Owen for sure...it's his time to shine!
Not a fan of the big man, Crouch, but I'm gonna give him a shot...he has potential to do good things
