Horses tie Wolve at 2 Not a very exciting game - obvious that it was 1st game of season Kudos to Wolves goalie who stopped a PK with 5 to go to preserve the tie.

four 2 to 2 ties in Week #1!! WOW!! Parity in this league this year. Defending Champs Westside O's only team to win the weekend.

Looking forward to Horses home opener next Saturday against Bombastic. We had 21 guys out this week hope to get the same number next week.

Bombastic 2 - 2 VUFC

Lots of rust out there! We were not sharp at all as we couldn't connect like we normally do and kept giving the ball away which led to Bombastic counters. The fitness in the last 20-30 minutes was comical as it was a hot one on Trillium.

4 out of 5 games a tie. I think this will be the most competitive season to date. The 2 teams that came up from Div. 2 look not bad.

Bombastic beat the Horses tonight 1 to 0. Horses had a majority of the play but could not finish. Bombastic are quality guys and can have a dressing room at ambleside anytime!!!! Horses have 1 point in first two games. Need to right the ship next week against the Lomas and get a win.

Horses beat lomas 3 to 1, scoring all 4 goals. Nice to get a win. Lomas start season with 3 losses not the same team as in previous years.

VUFC 1 - 0 Croatia

Not really a close game. Could have been very lopsided by halftime but we couldn't finish. Croatia w only one sub I think and we had too many. Ref blew the game at 80 mins as a Croatian player went down w a bad injury. Dislocated hip maybe? Hope he's ok, boys!

Big Westside derby next Friday night. BBQ will be rockin'!

Whatever the league decides we are good with and we hope your player is ok. The ref pulled the card based on the injury and not the tackle which is really disappointing to us and to our player involved in the tackle. Our player left the field of play out of respect to the injured player.

As for the last 10 minutes - the ref said that the league normally considers the game 'complete' if after the 70 minute mark. If the league decides differently we are happy to finish it off.

As for Croatia coming on. No you weren't.
