[VMSL Masters Div 1] Predictions, Results and Banter 2013/2014

Predictions for the weekend.....
Meraloma 3-1 Alemania (Lomas are fit and keep coming at you, think they'll get the points here)
Rnagers 2-2 SFU (with only 3 points in the last 3 games, Rangers don't seem to be firing on all cylinders right now, let the draws continue....)
Horses 3-0 Wolves (Wolves have been playing better of late but should fall victim to a stampede!)
Bombastic 2-2 WS Originals (keeping the race for top spot close....)
Bulldogs 1-3 Norvan (nothing short of winning will keep Norvan up)
Grass could be pretty sloppy this weekend, good luck to all.

Personally, I'd like to think we'd go up but I think it's unlikely. We're not good enough to properly compete up there at this point anyway…although you never know who might be available to join if we were to get promotion.
It's likely most teams in div 1 are quite content to stay in div 1.

Sirm that post may be a bit premature. Although the whorses had their player cards and did beat norvan again. I'm sure doug McCartney and his merry men are working hard on how to get these three points back now. Scoring more than the other team might work. Just a thought.
Eagles is a wanker.
Yes the Flying Arses won 1-0 and were the better team on the field on this day. As usual they also won the award for most whining on the field. Some quality guys on the team mixed in with more wankers following their leader. Summer tilt should be a good one.

There is a name from the past. At Christmas time after the game, meat pies, sausage rolls, and cornish pasties in the change room at Mahon, with the table for whatever league Scunthorpe was in taped to the wall.

Lomas 1 - 3 Bomb (should be close but Bombastic a very solid squad this year)
Rangers 2 - 2 Horses (totally dependent on who shows up for both teams, Horses only have a bench strength of 20 against quality teams like Norvan!!)
Norvan 3 - 2 Westside (still trying to avoid relegation but will be in tough against a good side tonight)
Others have been postponed. Bring your flippers tonight.....

Yet another tie and dropped points. Loma goalie was the difference as he stopped a PK, several breakaways and a great fingertip save to get the ball to the crossbar.
We have tied way too many games that we dominated in. Looking forward to the Bombastic tilt this weekend

We made it tough on ourselves by not slotting some excellent chances; had a 3-1 lead cut to 3-2 with about 10 to play and Bombastic pushing. Held on and jumped over them in the standings into a tie w the O-Men. Play them this weekend and then they have another game after that one. They are a sure thing for promotion to premier
