A couple of weeks ago, Ruben mentioned the city was being difficult to communicate with (or something to that effect)... such a shame, hopefully things can still be ironed out for some games to be held there.

@tremy-1 what happened to the premier opening weekend at a single venue 'program'? Really liked the idea of that!

Regs - apparently caused by a "new field allocation system" just put in place.

Opening weekend at a single venue was apparently a casualty of this as well, as Ruben has been pulling out the hair he has left to try to work around Hastings not being available.

I don't see Cosmos (relegated from Div 2). Have they folded or merged? That would be the bottom two clubs from 2014-15 Division 2A both folding.

Does the club formerly known as Campobasso now have two teams: Campo Atletic (Div 2) and Campo Libre (Div 3)?

The VMSL had to cancel it due to the lack of cooperation from Vancouver Parks to facilitate the Hastings fields.

The League has also asked the premier clubs participating in the competition to see if any of them was interested on organizing the event but, I estimate that by the lateness of the request and/or the shortage of fields, no team offered to do it.

It is a shame that this event did not happen as we projected it.

Possibly for the 2016/17 season we will have better luck and be able to secure a venue in which the VMSL could organize all its events.

This year, after the cancellation of FC Campobasso, our club has been refounded as Campo Atletico. With Italian & Hispanic roots, our club looks to merge Italian style with Latino flare, and aims to establish itself as one of the Premier clubs in BC.

Campo Atletico currently competes in the Vancouver Metro Soccer League (VMSL), and will showcase two teams in the upcoming 2015/16 season:

Divison 2 - Campo Atletico
Divison 3 - Campo Libre

Open tryouts are now being held throughout the 2015 summer in July & August, with our full training calendar posted on the schedule tab above. Players interested in playing for our club are invited to attend.

For some reason Cosmos moved to FVSL.
