Valentines Day aka Pick on men Day

Why for gods sake can men basically do no right on Valentines Day according to there female companion? If we buy flowers, there not fresh enough. If we get them theatre tickets, they're too far away. If we go and buy them dinner, they ask the damn waiter what's good and always get the worst sounding,tasting or looking meal on the menu.

Is it just me or does this week suck for men. Is Valentines Day female retribution for SuperBowl or the Stanley cup. I mean honestly, what good does Valentine's Day do.

I'm sorry, a little bitter. Why don't we men get anything good out of Valentines Day? All it does is raise excpectations on us for the rest of the year.

Just my female point of view...

The day is highly overrated. I don't put any expectations on guys for that day or for the rest of the year.

You have to think, "how the hell did you bag (charm) her in the first place?". This would conclude the 'vision' of you being soft at one point, hense the expectations of flowers, dinner & blah blah blah.

But then again, I'm not your "typical" wife/girlfriend, so I don't know what the right response is.

My points were not so much about her but about the way women are in general. every guy i talk o at work is on the same page as me and the girls have been bitching all week so far about how the husband/boyfriend beter be getting me something good. Hell ,if an attempt is made it should be worth something.

Mrs. Dude still says that, although in complete jest. She's learned, and knows better now. My response our first year of dating (9 years ago now) was to give her money, and I told her to plan eveything. Didn't go over so well.

I would be 100% in favor of an extra day of work per year, if we could just eliminate Valentine's day from existence.

Seriously, SC is bang on- either treat her right 100% of the time, or don't bother.

As for CDK...I guess whatever you have to do, is whatever you have to do. Carry on.

CDK knows what's going on. This is what you do. Take the day off work, bring home a bottle of white, knock it back at 11:30 am and then use the dining room table what it was meant for. Drunken monkey sex. Then, maybe go out for a light lunch somewhere half decent followed by more drinking and more drunken monkey sex for the rest of the evening. And I mean monkey sex. Fcuk the flowers and chocolates. Women want a man not some spineless coward who gives 'em anything they want, whenever they want. Dig?

In the Godless land of Korea, its actually expected that women buy their men chocolate. Then, on March 14 men buy their women candy. I see this simply as another example of how all Koreans act like Grade 7's in matters of the opposite sex. But there sure are a fcuk of a lot of children running around. IT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE.
