Hey is anybody out there interested in the Tour????

Lance Armstrong, Jan Ulrich, Stuart O'Grady et al. These guys are incredible, over 6000 mile hill climbs, 6 hours of riding each stage.
It's bloody capitvating.

How about Lance Armstrong waiting for Ulrich? Ulrich wipes-out on a steep down hill turn and Armstrong waits for the bugger. Is that a classy move or what?

Stage 14 won by Roberto laiseka of Spain.

Overall, the yellow jersey is with Lance Armstrong, Ulrich is 5+ minutes behind.

Stage 20 is the final, a brisk 160 km ride into Champs-Elysees July 29.

I haven't really been paying attention but what's the scoop on all this drug scandal going on with the cyclists? I thought Lance Armstrong (is it just me or does this name not reek of a WWF moniker?) was one of the "culprits"?

I believe you would be right. There has been in the past, alot of blood doping and huge drug scandals, which almost underminded the whole tour.

Recently, they have started the random sampling of the riders. Armstrong has been under great scrutiny. He has been rape by French media. He says he is clean (who really knows in any sport look at the state of the modern day Olympics).

He has been tested too, on several occassions through this Tour.

Final Stage

Lance Armstrong - Yellow Jersey - 3rd in a row. 6 minutes plus over the German Jan Ulrich.

The real race was over the last few stages for the green jersey.

Erik Zabel vs Stuart O'Grady

Zabel wins Green. Green for the points leader of the tour.

It was quite a good tour for those who enjoy the sport of cycling.
