I don't want to get into whether or not he did it or not............... but could someone answer this for me, Why the fcuk do these knobs like Kobe get married at 20 years old? Turn 35 or 40, have billions in the bank and then hook up with the 20 something supermodel and "settle down".

I was reading another article that Kobe and his father had not really spoken since he married Vanessa. Apparently Kobe's mun n' pop were not too thrilled about their young (he was like 21/22 at the time) son, an NBA superstar, was marrying a girl fresh out of high school.

Joe Bryant, an NBA player himself back in the day, knew all about what the NBA lifestyle is. Part of his concern with the marriage was probably fear of Vanessa being a gold digger; the other part was probably him realizing that his kid is KOBE BRYANT. He could play the "hey, I'm Kobe Bryant" card until he's thirty and get into Wilt Chamberlin numbers if he plays his cards right.

Thus, getting a wife so early in your career can only spell disaster, especially when you're out banging 19-year old American Idol contestants. If Kobe isn't married, he's just a young kid having a good time. But with a wife and kid in tow, he's in the midst of moral decay, which is what most NBA players are in the midst of on a daily basis, just without significant others.
