Thought with the big tourney being a week away a thread was neccesary for information and trash talking. The Captain and I recruited a few more teachers today. One of which JB was a southpark man himself at one time.
We have added JB and SCow today. I am no longer in the Dick Open because the guy who is organizing it, is just that. For now some TTPers who will be present are:
SYC, One Dart, Willis316, DMac, Captain Shamrock, Power(Designated Drinker), K-pat(?).......
SYC, send me a PM with your list of players and I will do the same to you. I might be falling off the wagon for a day on Thursday/Friday...... , just so I can keep the Power company.
That is what I like to hear Captain. The Power needs all the friends he can get right now. Judging by the early posts I assume that neither of you stayed very long at the year end party. JB was a good edition. Who is DMAC? Please don't let me play with K-Pat.
Today the Captain did make an effort to contact the course to confirm our tee times only to hear nothing in return. We have also decided to run the tournament concurrently (law term) with the dick(head) open simply just to piss off a few staff members. Looking forward to Friday.
Seeing as they don't seem willing to reply to you I will. I believe I heard the Captain say there will be 7 foursomes. Don't know who exactly but he did talk to someone at the course today.
Willis, keep in mind the best way to break into the Captain's house is through the back. I say this because Captain has come crashing off the wagon a night early. Maybe you can talk to Scud to ask a veteran's point of view on the best plan of attack for getting Captain to the tournament.
In other news, Captain has called a 71 for himself tomorrow. This was said early in the night though, so I am guessing the strokes tomorrow to beers tonight ratio will be sliding in favor of an 80 as the night goes on.
Yes, I fell off the wagon nicely. I was unable to live up to my 71 but I did shoot a respectable 76. I was 2 under on the back nine until the 15th hole where I managed a fcuking 4 putt. We had 27 players and the shirts were solid. Well done, Scud. Otherwise a relatively calm day and I was unable to wake up at 4:30 when K-Pat came to pick me up for the Grad festivities.
The shoe laces were being tied at a rapid rate in the afternoon. Five words. Fcuk-ing tre-men-dous.
Yes, the car did make it home. I just want to know who drove the car. Also, who drove me home? Willis had a very difficult time waking me up apparently. I was surprisingly in good form for the tournament. One of my partners commented that my behaviour was top-notch compared to past years. I would have to agree. Overall, a good day.
I would like to thank the Power for driving me home today. This has become a nice tradition. It's all about the shoe laces, all about the shoe laces.......
Funnily enough, I was just posting about that tradition. However, Captain, it was done before you were passed out at the Landing. That is a tradition in itself, although you looked like you were well on your way last night. It certainly took you folks long enough to get there, bringing the Spanish sensation was a nice touch though. Unfortunate for CIC, even as Parkhead's detailed account leaves one to wonder if he wasn't hiding in the back seat making sure nothing untoward happened.
All in all, its likely a good thing that the Celtic song didn't make an appearance at SD's grad tonight. I'm actually surprised that after your 5 hour nap you aren't currently hitting the casino.
Even if I wanted to I could not fit into the backseat of the Captain's little tank. For CIC sake I wanted something to happen, the guy seems to be a little stressed right now. But the 10$ bet I made on the outcome is what really kept me interested. The Putz cost me.
I think that was a great decision. Obviously, I needed the sleep. I believe K-pat was pissed at me and I don't blame him. He went out of his way to pick me up and I didn't deliver. Sorry about that, K-pat. However, it was a good decision to avoid the shoelaces in the condition I was in.
And the shoelaces were fukc-ing tre-men-dous. All in all a good day although I don't remember passing out in the car on the way to the Captain's I do remember passing out as soon as I walked in the door just after four o'clock. Too bad for K-Pat, perhaps if he wasn't so uptight and had a swig of the 2 litre we were offering him earlier in the afternoon he would have been less pissed.
